friday fotos: passing the time

It's that time of summer when you wonder how the end of the season is going to swing. We've had some cooler days that have signaled we're at the end, but it could just as easily heat up again and push on for another 6 weeks. We've stayed inside when it's been too hot, and stayed outside for as long as we could on the less-sweltering days---and just kept generally busy!

Here's what we've been up to this week:

Can you see what's in that Magnetix creation? Ethan and Zane designed a "traveling cage" for the gerbil. It took several models to make one that she couldn't escape from!




Lookie! Lookie! It's my new long board! It's like a skateboard that's longer in length, higher, and with sturdier trucks---built for street riding. I haven't been on a skateboard since I was 14, but since my 11 year old has taken an interest in it--I decided to bond with my boy! Got a great deal on this one. I'll have to take a picture of me actually ON it one day....when I look cool enough to be photographed :):

I brought t-shirts home for the boys to decorate. Here's Z putting together his creation. He is a detail-oriented boy like his mama :) ....

J requested that I draw a "hot dog" on his. I don't know if this is what he was expecting, but he loves his "dog on fire" now!

And L did an alien theme with his. Very cute! (the boy and the shirt!)

And as for my plethora of vacation photos....well, we'll just save those for another day :). They could take up a couple of Friday Fotos! In the mean time, go enjoy the more or less heat of wherever you're at!
