friday fotos--autumn busy-ness

My computer wouldn't let me get on it last night, so I'm a little late in getting these up--but better late than never and all that jazz.

Here's what we've been up to these last two weeks.....

We are LOVING the change of season here. Between September and October we went from 90 degrees down to 50. We've had a few gorgeous days to enjoy though--grayish skies to backdrop all the reds, yellows, and oranges swirled in with the green. My sunflowers got HUGE this year. We harvested and roasted the seeds to share with Ethan's class as part of his report on the Kootenai Indians.....

One rainy afternoon we had fun sucking Zane's hair up in the vacuum hose. Made him look like Wolverine :) ......

The Halloween shirts have come out of storage.......

My #2 baby turned TEN!!!! Ugh. I can't believe I have two double-digit children now! Good thing they're both amazing, grateful, happy, talented, sweet as syrup boys that seem to be staying that way despite getting older!..........

Ethan wanted chocolate lava cake for his birthday--which you have to eat warm. Kind of difficult to put candles in cake with a hot pudding center. We stuck them in his ice cream instead....

The ottoman I built and covered years ago finally gave out, so it was replaced with a deeply discounted trunk found at Pier 1. It holds all the blankets and adds some nice texture too. Does anyone even remember I'm an interior designer? Every now and then I actually get stuff around my own house done :) .....
