I'll be feeling this in the morning!

It was such a great autumn morning that I put my two little ones in the double stroller (or the bus as I call it!) and we went for a long walk. As we passed the part of our subdivision that is expanding, I noticed all these great river rocks just laying in the empty lots. I've wanted to put a rock border around our garden all summer, so we walked back home, grabbed the other 2 kids and drove down to collect rocks in the back of the van. It took about an hour to pick up enough (mostly just I was picking up as Zane and Ethan were either distracted by bugs, by garbage,by trying to classify the rocks we were finding, or by giving the little ones more treats to eat). Then we had to drive all the rocks home, unload them into the wheelbarrow (which Liam and James immediatley wanted to ride in too), and unload them all in the backyard . I think I made about 12 trips. My shoulders and back hurt already! Funny how those little "quick projects" always turn out to be more thanks to the 'help' of our children!

What a woman you are! I think everyday about how the ceiling in my basement needs to be painted and then I wimp out because I know how sore I'll be when I'm done. You'll have to post a picture of your new border.
