I finally got my bed made and got to sleep last night, only to be awakened just before 2:00am by the phone ringing. The caller ID came up as Ada County. When answered, an automated voice came on saying "Homeowner be aware that there is an armed man at large in your neighborhood. Male, 30-35 years old with dark hair and a moustache, wearing a green sweatshirt and dark jeans. If you see him, do not try and approach him. Contact 911 immediatley". Talk about scary! I didn't even realize call alerts like that existed. I immediatley got out of bed to make sure all the doors and windows were locked and the outside lights were on. I knew our back gate wasn't locked, but I was too scared to go out to lock it!
This morning on the news we found out the guy had shot at the police, abandoned his car in our neighborhood, then stole another car and got away! Too scary!

YIKES!! We know all about night time prowlers! I didn't know about those phone calls either. I knew they did them for missing children, but not armed men. See, maybe there was a reason you were up so late. Maybe keeping the lights on and some movement in the house scared him away from yours. I'll bet it's times like these that you are grateful all your bedrooms are on the same side of the house. As badly as I want out basement finished, I am not looking forward to the girls being 2 floors beneath me. Glad you all are safe!!
