black leather and hooker boots, aka: what it felt like to be a superhero for a day

I love, love, loved Halloween this year!!! In years past, I've been Mary Poppins, a witch, and a disco clown. This year I wanted to try channeling someone different. Like her.....

This is Scarlet from GI Joe. The store was fresh out of neoprene rubber suits with giant boob cups, but I did own a lot of black leather, and a red wig.......

In fact, I would like to have this wig surgically attached to my head forever, please. I could not get enough of being a red head! At one point, before going to a Halloween dance on the 30th, I had to run some errands---in my costume. I blended right in at Wal*Mart with all those other run-of-the-mill, bargain-hunting superhero types.

Here I am practicing a little hand to hand combat maneuver I learned in the Army.....

And done up with all my weaponry...

The dance was soooo much fun too! Everyone put a lot of effort into their costumes for sure. Here's me giving a little love to my Ninja friend who set me up with the sword and dog tags....I think it's safe for him to claim me as his 'creation'.

And here are more sweet friends keeping me company when I had to sit down, because really--4 inch heeled boots (aka "hooker boots" as one friend so affectionately called them) are NOT meant for boogie-ing in for hours on end!

And that was that!
Kid Halloween pictures coming with Friday Fotos! But for now, I think I'll go slip into my leather and my wig and go see who needs some saving :) .....
YO JOE!

I love, love, love the red wig. Love it. It's so you. And so "me." As I rocked a red wig, too. But not as Scarlet...no, I was a redneck vampire.

Love me through it, please.
