friday fotos--how fun is life?!

This has been a great week (with the exception of the grade I got on my stupid pop-up book, but we won't go there right now....), like I was saying--THIS HAS BEEN A GREAT WEEK filled with enough fun to tire me out and make me slightly sick to my stomach :) .

Here's what we've been up to......

Last Friday, my friend Minette put on a *fabulous* murder-mystery dinner party for our singles group. We were all assigned characters and were to dress in black-tie to mimic an after-Oscar party. I can't believe how creative everyone was! Here we all are:

After we solved the murder (ssssh....don't tell, but the old boyfriend did it!), we played a version of musical chairs that involved dancing and sitting on laps. When the music stopped, as long as you could sit down on a chair or on someone's lap who was on a chair---you could stay in the game. And yes---we were all clean and sober --

Michelle won--can you tell? See me on the floor? I fell off her lap and then just kind of crawled around on the ground.....I think I'm searching for the last of my dignity...... :)
------
Here's another picture from our California trip. Can you find Liam (my then 4 year old)?

I thought that picture was the perfect transition into Liam's birthday pictures. My 3rd baby turned 5. *sigh* Where DOES the time go? I so clearly remember having him----all the tulips in bloom in the flowerbeds outside my window. Such a nice time to be born--and such a beautiful baby!

He requested an L- shaped cake---so that's what he got! He also wanted an I cake, and an A cake, and an M cake.....but that much cake in any one house is not a good idea. He had a great time with brothers and friends, and is thrilled to be a 'whole hand old'. Love that little guy sooooo much! He reminds me every day with his funny sounds and sweet singing and contagious laughter just how FUN life is!

Don't you agree?

~Happy Weekending!~

I've always wanted to host a murder mystery party, that sounds fun! Except my husband doesn't care much for them...I guess I just won't invite him! :0)

Dude. He got a gumball machine! How awesome is that!?

I'm mildly jealous. ;-)

I hear you about projects not going as good as you want...but I have to keep that whole perspective thing and know my whole life doesn't rest on one tiny part of school. :-)

Glad your week was great!

Loving all the pictures! It's so cool you went to a murder mystery party because my friend and I are having one this summer :). It's taking us a lot of time to plan though!

Jen,
I just now read your comment about my entry project I have going...dang....I already painted the frames black, but hey...they could always be painted again sometime down the road. Right!?!
Anyway, I posted the finished entry and hallway this morning. Come by and see how it looks.
My den that you can see from the entry will also be painted that Bungalow Gold color and I'm painting the bricks on the fireplace a creamy white.
I have SO much to do in this house, I have literally been doing something in this house for 4 years now...it just takes time and money ya know.
I'm ALWAYS up for suggestions and thank you much for your input.

Now, about that textured wall paper grass....are you saying to put it on my front door?

Don't you like how I'm using your comment section as email? It's awesome huh.

Also, how are you liking your Scentsy Warmer? The scents...liking those?

Happy Birthday to Liam.

You can have my four-year-old, in three weeks, when Mr Destructo truns four. He's LOADS of fun.

After spending seven years raising them in my house and the subsequent hard years apart from them, I could not imagine (and don't wish to) life with out my kids. I am a better man for being a father and just wish I had been a better husband to complement it.

Fluck and double fluck.

And a very happy birthday to your boy!! Looks like it was a good one.
