Here's what we've been up to......
Pinewood Derby time again! They always seem to want a NEW CAR each year, despite my digging out all the old ones and lauding their praises, their ALREADY FINISHED praises. Ah well ;)! Do you like my creative means of adding weight to Ethan's car (which he named "the Wilderness Cruiser")? Gluing rocks into the bed! We totally shared in that 5th place victory. He was a good sport and I just love the poo out of him!
Loving the accidental cool picture this turned out to be!:
First mow of the year. I now remember I have shoulder muscles! Can't wait to get my flowers planted to cover up all the yucky landscape cloth poking out of my island.
My sweet baby James! So glad he doesn't share his mom's strange inability to eat chocolate shaped like an animal. There's hope for him yet :) ....

Wow. It would be so nice to have a break from mowing... We are at that sweet couple of weeks of the year though where the winter grass is dieing and the summer grass is coming out of dormancy, so it doesn't need mowed twice a week like it does the rest of the calendar.
LOVE finding surprisingly cool photos when I upload. How cool is yours?! LOVE IT! We had the Derby last month. MY LAST. I'm sorta glad to put it behind me, to tell you the truth...
FUN!!! This weather is crazy, right?!? It was 82 degrees here yesterday. Can't wait to get out of this office and enjoy the weekend!

Elena had me go to my computer yesterday and read your ant post. We just laughed and laughed together. Ah, it was so funny. Those ants WERE huge, and I loved other people's comments. I've experienced exactly one red ant bite in my life, and that's enough! Oooooch. It smarts for sure....

Anyway, happy weekending and I still think of you coming over! I'm scared! You'll see my dirt. I'm a dirty dirty girl.....I just edit the clutter out of the pictures.
Do you want to run away screaming now?????! I promise, I'm trying so hard to become a clean clean lady, but it's hard! I've finally mastered the bathrooms (they sparkle now) and the laundry. Next, the dreaded floors.....

Oh, I love the Pinewood Derby; it is so much fun. Hayden is a first class scout now, so things are more serious!! hehe

Your grass is so green! I'm so glad spring is here. My boys have been spending all day outside and it's such a blessing because they were tearing up my house. :) Hope you have a really great weekend. :)

Oh the derby...what would have been funny is if James had worn the helmet to race the derby cars; that is good stuff. Sometimes Gunnar just wears his helmet around the house...just in case. One can never be too cautious in this day and dangerous age!!

LOVE the "rubber" duck! My boys Nana gave them each one for Easter this year. When she told Benjamin it was candy he went for the head and it exploded everywhere!
Ugh, pinewood derby. Methinks I'm dreading that phase of our lives.
