Here's what we've been up to this week.........
I call this picture: Things Liam deems necessary to have with him while playing outside:
Zane got this scooter for Christmas when he was 4 and learned to ride it. Ethan started riding it when he was 3. Liam at 2. And James learned to ride it when he was still 1! Now he can make it clear around the block. Yeah....I know.....he's not wearing a helmet.....but isn't he just too cute?:
And this is how Liam has taken to riding his bike lately. How he doesn't crash is a mystery to me! :
James loves to play in the van and pretend he's a dog:
Meanwhile, back inside----look what we got!!!:
This is Cinnamon and Spice. Gerbils have proved to be much heartier than the hamster, and they seem very happy living amongst the *stress* of the Peterson household. They're actually really fascinating to watch! They love to chew on toilet paper rolls, eat pieces of Waffle Crisp cereal, and keep me awake at night running on their wheel.
And James patiently waiting for Liam to wake up so they can play. I love that my kids still take naps. Ah....sweet, sweet nap time....
Finally, the one picture that was not taken on Thursday:
And that's my rock star lifestyle ladies. Try not to be jealous :)

I'm totally jealous! When Jack wants to ride on the scooter I have to ride with him....which is difficult.
Your boys are so darling! It looks like you had a good week.
We just bought a mouse. I tried to talk my 7 year old daughter into a gerbil or a hamster, but a mouse is what we got. It smells.
I must catch up on your Rock Star life!!! Sounds like in my bloggy intermission...you may have had a hampster?? I'll read on now...but good luck with Cinnamon and Spice!!! I miss naptimes :( I love that picture! Sweeeet boys :)
Naptime is the best!
amen to nap time sistah. thought about you on memorial day. (meaning, i know you'd be visiting your mom's grave :)
My kids have all loved to pretend to be dogs or cats, which is so cute, but why must they get into character so much that they actually lick me?
Your mom was such an amazing person! She was always so happy and cheerful - I was always excited as a kid when I got to see her. She was very loved. (A bit sappy, but always nice to know. My husband's father passed away several years ago, and even to this day, he appreciates hearing what others have to say about his dad. :) )
Love,
Karah
Gerbils are pretty awesome. They survived my fam till they got quite old in gerbil years. You're boys are just adorable! The puppy dog james totally made me smile :-)
Have a blessed weekend!
I just love your Friday Fotos. I look forward to them each week. I've often thought about doing that on my bog with my boys.
Have a fabulous weekend!!!
:)
You have a rockstar lifestyle, indeed. But are you their roadie or manager?
p.s. My girls were playing with a gumball machine yesterday. Must be gumball machines in the air or something.
Oh...look how cute Cinnamon and Spice are. Not as cute as James on that scooter, but still pretty cute. The flowers are your mom's grave are beautiful.
Jennifer - you are a way nicer mom than I am. I don't think I would let any rodents in here intentionally.
I am so glad that I blog, because if I didn't I don't think any pictures would ever be taken. That's one good thing about this blogging world, right?
XOXO
Jen
i should start carrying a gumball machine around with me places... just to see what people do :)
great pics, have a good weekend.
Your rock star lifestyle is eerily similar to mine.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
Have a fabulous weekend!
MacKenzie keeps asking me for a scooter, and she's 4...hum. Maybe Christmas this year, we'll see!
Thanks for commenting on my blog! I love reading about you and your boys! :)
At least you have boys and they are merely learning to ride a scooter and younger and younger ages. I have girls and my youngest learned to say "Do I look fashionable?" at age three. I swear that phrase never came out of MY mouth!
I take my kids to the cemetary every year for Memorial Day. We clean up and visit their grandpa (my dad) and their mother's dad. Both Granpas are vets and I think it is all the more important. I won't encourage my kids to go military, but I won't discourage it either. SOmetimes I wish I had gone in straight out of highschool. Nice pics though and the ice cream sounds good.
Your last words made me smile as usual. Especially that "aren't they excited?" phrase.
I'm just dropping by because I think the bloggy fire has been put out for me....ka put.
I'm pretty much done, so don't come over and check very often. It was so fun to meet everyone though, and you and I can still get together every once in a blue moon. I would love that.
Anyway, just wanted to drop a line and say "HI" ....as will be the case more in the future. I'm just blogged owt!
Ha. I had a total of 4 hamsters... all of which got to a point where my dad had to 'take them away'. My brother's also had gerbils....their names were Paige and Bailey and they were hyper-active, crazy, and mean. They wouldn't let us hold them at all, the one time I did try to hold them it bit me.
Best of luck with the gerbils! I'm sure your boys will love them.
Love the photos and the commentary. So funny and cute. Ohhhh...the joy of naps.
And the gerbil reminded me of the pet gerbils we had when I was growing up. My parents didn't know to give them chew toys or something and the gerbil grew really long teeth and couldn't open his mouth and died. Isn't that awful? My mom says I don't remember this right but I can't iamgine making this up in my head.
