Decorating for Halloween

I stayed up until some unheard of hour the other night putting up Halloween decorations. I generally like to decorate for holidays when the children are asleep to avoid fighting, breaking of ornaments, more fighting, etc.. Somewhere in my sleep-induced coma at 7 am, I heard Liam wander out of his room and proclaim very loudly (I'm assuming as he noticed decorations) "It's Christmas!" Zane and Ethan have got their chalkboard walls all ready for Halloween. They love to decorate their room for every holiday (because mom always does the decorating without them, see reasons above...). Anyway, I thought it looked pretty cute, even if I don't understand all the jokes and comic-like illustrations.
This is the shelf that hangs in the hall right outside the boys' room. I'm pretty certain this is what Liam saw when he declared it was Christmas!
Zane and Ethan looking frightened of their cobeweb decorations. What hams! (sorry that the picture is crooked--I keep forgetting to rotate and save them before I put them on here!)
And why totally not related to this entry at all, may I just say that I think Satan invented E.L. Fudge cookies. I was innocently grocery shopping along tonight with my basket full of vegetables, yogurt, and whole grain, when this bag of E.L. Fudge cookies practically fell into it. I didn't exactly put it back and now I can't stop eating the darned things. Why do you have to be so tasty little chocolate stuffed elves, why?!?!

I LOVE E.L. Fudge cookies! I serioulsy can't buy them because I eat the whole package by myself. My silly kids take them apart and only eat the filling. It breaks my heart to see a good E.L. Fudge go to waste! :)
Cute decorations. I still need to get mine out, but I just don't have the energy.
