hello? friday fotos? helllllloooo?

Friday Fotos will be up on Monday. I've got some things going on this weekend that I'd like to take fotos of and include.

But---let's play another game because I had SOOOO much fun naming y'all last week :) !

How about if you guys ask me one yes or no question each, and I promise to answer truthfully in the comment feed. It'll be like being back in Junior High at a slumber party and the one girl who always suggested: "Let's play Truth, Dare, Double-Dare, Promise, or Repeat". I always picked truth.....except that one time that I picked double-dare.....and had to call the Principal's home......and, well, we won't reveal anything more about that for now.... :) But I AM looking forward to what you might ask! (keep it clean though, alright? This is a PG rated blog!)

oooo, the pressure of being first....can't think of anything funny, I'll go semi-serious, from one homeschool momma to another I wonder:

Do you miss homeschooling?

*Jess* said...

Do you secretly hope you'll be able to pick your future daughters-in-law for your boys?

Sheryl said...

Sorry to ask such a serious question but it's the first thing that popped into my mind - do you believe that God has asked you to pray for restoration of your marriage?

Kristi said...

Do you want more kids? I know, I'm insane. Sorta. :)

Stacy went there. Yes she did. I can't think of a question yet. It's still too early. I'll be back.

How do you get clean edges when you paint walls (meaning the baseboards and ceiling...) This question has been burning within me for ages; and you (with your sweet decorating skills!) look like you would know. do you tape? I've only painted two rooms in my life and free handed the edges both times and it drove me insane (insert cackle laugh here). My sweetheart gave me a gift certificate for paint for Christmas because he knows I want to add color to our home. Hope to get an answer; as you would say: HAPPY WEEKENDING!

A few of these turned into something a bit more than a simple yes or no could answer, but I'll try and keep it as simple as possible:

-Wedogmamama: OH YES!!!! (will be getting back to it next year if the boys want to).

-Jess: Yes and No--that's a lot of pressure and they can only have me to blame if the girl turns out to be not so nice!

-Sheryl: Yes. Of course. And I have. I live by the power of prayer and inspiration every day.

-Kristi: Yes and No again. Yes, because I love kids, but my doctor has recommended no more pregnancies as it will put stress on my damaged heart valve.

-Stacy: Only time can tell, but simply working off the criteria of what kind of a man HCMM is right now...yes.

T--Ha! This is far beyond yes or no :). I tape if I'm using a fairly dark color. If it's light to medium, I use a tool that looks like a flat sponge with rollers along the edge. It slides along all the edges and does a fab job!

Uhm...Are you ever going to play any of the dorky games I invite you to on fb? AND, is your chair still naked? (I could solve that problem.)

Smoochies!!!
K
P.S. If you have time, will you read my dumb blog again? Please? (Insert pathetic puppy dog eyes here...)

Mama Wheaton said...

When you finish your schooling what career will you h opefully pursue? (I know not a yes or no but it was my first thought)

Lee Ann said...

Will you do all of the interior decorating for my new house? :-)

Cara said...

Not yes or no, but one word: What's you favorite instrument to play on Rockband?

Elena said...

Have you caught anymore "m words"?

And I always thought this song said, "You're not a pimp and I'm not a FEM." But NO, today I learned its, "You're not a pimp and I'm not a FAN!" (Just a little different. LOL!)

Miki said...

lol....Elena is so funny in bloggy land....

Hmmmmm...everyone's questions were SO GOOD...

Are you currently living in your dream home, or do you dream of something else?

Jennifer P. said...

Kristan,
I'll be by to read tonight! My chair is still naked, but is now in my bedroom where it looks nice naked :)! And I'm just not on Facebook long enough to play any games, but I might just for you :).

Mama Wheaton,
I'll probably end up teaching like everyone else, but I would really like to do free lance editing from home---and ideally free lance writing that actually pays. Whatever I can to still be here with my kiddos!

Lee Ann,
YES!!!! Oh my how I'd love to get my hands on that craftsman cottage of yours!!! I know the perfect furniture collection... :)

Cara,
If our drums were calibrated right, I'd do those. But as they're off and it drives me batty--I like to sing!

Elena,
I was FREAKED OUT by everyone's stories yesterday and called the pest control guy. I now have 12 traps set and enough poison to kill off an army of mice in my crawl space!

Miki,
Any place could be my dream home. I can decorate anything to my liking, and as long as I'm with those I love most--it's home! That being said, this place is pretty perfect size and layout wise!

Ohhh fun! Wow, I really hated that game though. Like, REALLY hated. I always picked truth too and then the one time I didn't I had to do something incredibly lame. I was dared to go out to the busy street and dance around a stop sign. That's the kind of thing that I actually don't find embarrassing though.....so yeah picking dare was never daring for me....

Okay lets think of something to ask you now...

Will you ever share with us the story of you prank calling your principle??? :P

Is Hot Debbie Cakes a good kisser?

p.s. YES, that is my nickname for him. Please love me. We are big Debbie Cake people in this house.

Ashley said...

Have you ever..... Oh, wait... PG... got it. Keep it clean.

Okay, let's approach this from a different angle.... I have a two part question. You can answer either/or. :)

Do you think you might one day be living in California?

and/or

Do you think Mr. Haute Cakes might one day live in Idaho?

Brian and Staci said...

When you make it big....with your book tours and all...will you come visit me in OKLAHOMA :0 I know that's a lame-o question...but I have 10 seconds to blog...gotta go pick up my Con-man :) I am serious though :)

Stu Pidasso said...

If any of your boys asked to go live with their dad, would you let them go??

Stu Pidasso said...

I think that was a really hard one to ask you and I am sorry for that, but my son has recently asked me that question and I am afraid to approach my ex about the request.

Jennifer P. said...

Carla--
Dancing around the stop sign--HA! Yes--I'll share the story. I was suppose to tell him that I loved him but I got all nervous and just hung up and got called a chicken and they made me stick my tongue to the metal freezer shelf instead. The End. :)

Lula--
See that's (yes) the kind of simple question (yes) you're suppose to ask --(yes, yes, yes) it is!!! :X

Ashley--
a possible yes on 1 and a probably no on 2. Again--it's that whole tricky timing thing!

Staci--
Regardless of my success or failure as a writer, I will FOR SURE YES come visit you in Oklahoma! I've never been to Oklahoma before OR slept in a non-European castle--so why would I pass up that chance?! :)

Stu--
It would depend on what would really be best for my kids. With my ex currently residing in a house with 4 roommates, I don't think that would be the best choice right now. Increased visitation would probably be the only current option. When the boys were older, and if ex was in a better living situation--yes, I would let them. It would be SOOOOOO hard, but I would have to respect their desires to want to know both of us.

ManicMandee said...

Oh no they didn't!!!
I am happy about all those lovely but nosey ladies above crossing the line and asking stuff I wanted to know.
And why did you have to specify "yes" or "no" questions? It makes it trickier for me to get what I want out of you.
Ok.
Let's take a shot at it...

I was going to ask a HCMM question but can't word it in a yes or no.
So here's an alternative:
Do you love him enough to marry him now?
HA! Beat that you nosey ladies.

Jen @ tatertotsandjello.com said...

Are you working on writing a book, and if so what is it about? And if not, what type of book would you write?

jori-o said...

haha! This IS like junior high--we only want to know about the boy you like!! I can't think of a good question, but I'm sure gonna come back to see what goes down 'round these parts! =)

Jennifer P. said...

Amanda--
You're on bed rest and therefore disqulified :)

JenJen--
I'm trying to put together a poetry manuscript currently, but it's tough to get one that flows. I'd love to write some best-selling piece of fiction one day, but I imagine I'd be better suited to writing something about my life in a conversational tone...hmmm....kind of like BLOGGING :)

Jori--
Yeah, I noticed that! hahahaha

You rock. Thanks :)

Wow - you are brave!

Just wanted to say thanks for becoming a follower on my blog - I really appreciate that!

Take care and have a great weekend...

Do you really like being in school right now?

Lula! said...

I have another, very pertinent question:

Can I come see you sometime soon?

p.s. Do not call me lame or else I'll be forced to take appropriate measures when I do come see you.

Katy said...

*Um, G-I-R-L........You might wanna come by and see something.*

Gombojav Tribe said...

Next time you are in California, will you come visit me?

BlueCastle said...

Okay, I've been thinking and thinking and all those nosey ladies asked what I was thinking but did not have the gumption to actually ask, but I did manage to come up with a question. One that needs a yes or no, too. I'm so proud of myself :)

Does Haute Cakes man read your blog?

Jennifer P. said...

Katy,
yes.

Lula,
yes. I'm thinking about April...

Gombojav,
Depends on where you're at, but I think that would be fun! (that's a yes...)

Blue Castle,
Yes! (doesn't EVERYONE read my blog ;)?!). He comments sometimes too---but you'd never know it since he's so tricky :).

Miki said...

Okay...so I came over here to tell you I did a shout out to you over at my blog...but after reading my rather shallow question here (about your house), I realize that I've asked another quite shallow question of you over at my blog. That's sad! I don't think of you that way! So although I'm all excited to tell you about my shout out to you (go to the end of my post if your not in the reading mood right now), and see it.

I'm rather ashamed, because truly, I'm not into homes or fashion (until I'm dying of embarassment having nothing but clothing with holes in them). I'm also sad that you've been bombarded with questions, and you might be "questioned out" right now.

Anyway...now you know. Mosey on over when you need a break from seriousness. It will be fun.

Jenners said...

Hope you are not too tired of doing this. So here is my question:

Do you think I should switch my celebrity crush from Brad Pitt to Robert Downey Jr. ?

Tori said...

I've got two questions...

Does HCMM have the same faith convictions as you? (for the most part at least)

Annnd

Will you pray for me to get better at managing my time and spending time with God?

Thanks for this "game"--its been fun! I love reading your blog!

Jennifer P. said...

Jenners,
As long as RDJ stays clean and sober--YES!

Tori,
Yes to the same religious convictions and Yes--I'm happy to join you in prayer for such a worthy goal! Thanks for the sweet compliment :)

Ells said...

ok, Jennifer, I am taking your challenge!

Do you read poetry aloud with the kind of audible expression that you put into your blog visually and (sorry, it's a two-parter) do your boys like to listen?

I'm thinking the answer has got to be yes to both! :)

Jennifer P. said...

Ells--
YES! Love reading poetry out loud to people who listen and not just say "I don't get it" :)

But, I haven't really read much contemporary poetry out loud to my boys. They do love listening to me read though, and we read every night. Almost through Swiss Family Robinson now. That one's taken us over 2 months to get through!

I know I am late on everything but first things first.
Chocolate with peanut butter on the mouse trap. You wil catch them all, guranteed!!! I am like you, neat and freak are a compliment to me, so when we found mice in the noodles in my food storage, I wigged out!!! We got about ten traps and set them out with chocolate and some PB to hold the chocolate to the trap and the next morning we had four mice. Put them around the perimitor of your home and wait for the snap. You got em!

As far as my question, how are you really doing? I just want to make sure that you are truly happy deep in your heart. Have you found peace?♥

Jennifer P. said...

Queenie--
Haven't had a mouse for several days now. I freaked out with all the stories bloggy ladies were telling me and called the exterminator! I'm going to throw some traps around my food storage now though, just in case!

Yes--I am really happy deep down in my heart. I do not brush over my trials or cover them up with fake happiness (though I am a believer in "fake it till you make it" from time to time!). Peace for me will be more of a pursuit than a final destination, but we catch up with eachother enough that I can say I am at peace.

Thanks so much for asking :)

Claremont First Ward said...

I hope I'm not too late.

Have you ever faltered in your faith?

Jennifer P. said...

angie,
I have had times when I haven't made the best choice, or when I have really been frustrated not understanding God's ways--but I have always been "worthy"--never gave up and don't plan to. Really--where else are there any answers or at least the possibility of answers?
