Here's some vacation highlights in no particular order!....
HCMM and I enjoying milkshakes on the beach with friends. It's fun to make people do 'random pointing' in photos!:
I love just looking out and seeing something that goes so far you can't see the end of it. Keeps me humble!

Though my vacation wasn't really planned because of Valentine's Day, it sure was nice to have someone to spend it with!

***I wish I could say for sure just how Haute Cake's and my story is going to end--everything is certainly more complicated the second time around. But, for now, we're just really enjoying the journey together. And that's all I'm going to say about that :) .

I wondered if you'd hit delays. We pulled into LA at precisely 5 pm. Argghhhh.... All the "snow" in the mountains made for some VERY slow driving. It was a long day. I'm still sad we missed you though. And I love that shot of Haute Cakes. I loves me some 5 o'clock shadow!

Awww... looks like you had fun, GOOD! Amazing how California can still look beuatiful, even in the pouring rain. As a former PNWesterner I miss the rain and mild temperatures. Whenever it rains here it's to cold to play in. Darn it! :o)
I imagine it's fun and exciting the second time around but I get what you're saying about things being complicated, too. For all of us it seems all dreamy and romantic but for you I know there's much more involoved than we can imagine. Good luck. It looks like you are doing a great job balancing it all.

As a mom who is smack in the middle of the second time around, it is waaaaay more complicated and never quite the same. (just wrote about that deal myself!) BUT it is wonderful and I think it's great that you are just letting it be and enjoying the ride.

Nononono--that's not a Mustang--that's a Ferrari! Only a $100,000 difference :). And I agree HCMM would look pretty hot in one of those----but I don't think the car seat would fit! :)
The rain looks pretty romantic and cuddly to me. I'm glad you had a great trip. Our Valentine's Day was spent with a houseful of 2- and 3-year-old girls for a Cinderella tea party. Not necessarily romantic, but definitely full of love!

HellllOOOOO!!!! MAN! I needed a bloggy break for sure! With Elena gone for a week, and you in California, Trish having gardening on the brain, Emily gone, and ME just SO blogged out, it was good to have a nice solid break away from blogging.
But after last night, looking at Trish's confession of needing a break too, it made me feel better (like I'm not alone in this feeling), so I'm back....
and doesn't HCMM look GREAT! You both are so good looking you could just stare at each other all day and be pleased; perfectly content. Wha? It's not all it takes? Uh well....I guess if life is not meant to be easy, at least it can be easy on the eyes (for a season or two anyway).
P.S. I like how comfortably fun you two are together...random pointing. It's gotta be a little awkward at times, but you two seem to know what's going on, and are keeping your heads about it.
