something not having to do with me being sick

Just wanted something else besides my sick post to look at this morning to help all my thoughts stay focused on getting and staying well. Though I still can't thank you all enough for the kind words and well wishes. It's just one month of my life....I'll make it up somehow :o).
Lots I remember about this one photo above----

The barn in a wheatfield painting I did years ago. I'm not much of an artist, but I gave it a try--watercolors on an oil canvas! I love the juxtaposition of blue and gold in it. It's hanging in my hallway now--though I think I'll have to take it down when Summer comes around and put it back on my faux-mantle. It just looks summery.
------------------------------------------------------
And that's my metal rooster named Chicky on the pedestal. Love that silly rooster! My husband got him for me when I was begging to have real chickens. Good substitute. Lots less poop.
------------------------------------------------------
And those are my almost-look-real purple Alliums. I know they're just onion flowers, but they're soooo pretty!
------------------------------------------------------
See the silver candlesticks? I like to tell people they're my grandmother's mercury glass--but I really just bought them at the dollar store. Sweet, sweet dollar store!
-----------------------------------------------------
Oh--also look at the table. See those square thingies? They were some "free art" I was making for a friend. She had a pair of unused frames that needed something done. I set her loose on the frame part with some leftover dark red spray paint I had laying around. Then I created these little ditties for her out of.......free paint chips. Does it get any better than free? Just used my paper cutter to slice the chips into equal squares, then cut a few smaller squares to use as overlaps here and there. **Enlarge the photo to see what I mean. ** I thought they turned out pretty cute. Maybe I'll have to make some more for MYSELF......hmmmmm, now where on earth can I get free paint chips?!

♥ I love the painting good job. I suck at painting. My grandma is fab at it and was "trying" to teach me. It still sits in her house unfinished and that was 3 years ago! :)

Love your dollar store find. Way to go!

i so do not want to get sick! don't send anything my way! (: glad about your weight loss although i'd much rather do it the long haul way and feel good. poor thing!

gray has a little bug-green snotty nose and can barely breathe through in the mornings, and super watery bathroom jobs. poor guy! he's still be super content, but i know he can't be feeling up to par. hopefully it passes soon. love you and am praying for you.

I love the whole shelf going on there. I have a few smaller shelves in my entryway, but I've struggled with what to do in the dining room and I think I could use this idea!
What a personal touch with the painting.
Get better...
