Good grief! I
love my house and all, but I haven't been further than a few blocks from it in
over 2 weeks, and I'm really getting tired of this place.
This sick business is killing me! Yes. I'm
still sick. Not
as sick
(note the font changing ability has returned), but not as better as I should be by this point. Doctor took more x-rays today and noticed my heart was enlarged. This could mean the nasty viral infection has spread to my heart
(myro-cardial-something-or-other-fancy-word, he called it). That could mean anywhere from another
3 weeks to 3 months of bed rest.
AAAAAAUGH!!!! How a homeschooling mother of 4 active boys who has never gone more than a day in the past 15 years without exercising can lay in that stupid bed any longer is a total mystery! I find this blog a safe and soothing place to vent a few of these feelings. Whether you want to be a kind listener or not--
I kind of roped you into it!ANYWAY,I sent my husband out in the gorgeous weather with his camera and told him to drive to the other side of town and
just take some pictures of stuff I might want to look at. This is what he came back with:

He knew how much I love topiaries and water features and weeping trees
(I call them Dr. Seuss trees), so he thought I'd like to look at this home for sale. If it was more
cottage size than
McMansion size--I think it would be
perfect. Glad my husband knows my taste in homes so well!
He also took this photo:

Apparently he wandered across some graveyard out in the middle of nowhere. Most of these are soldiers and families who died at Fort Boise during the Indian Wars. A little
creepy--and
maybe not the best picture to show someone who feels on her death bed--but still
appreciated :). If you want a great decorating post to look at, go visit The Nester. She's been mistreating her windows again and I just love her for it! If you want some real-life action and excitement, go visit my buddy Elena. They've had police chases and hostages in their neighborhood! If you want to keep hearing a sick woman whining about when her trial will pass--then you're in the right place :O).
Best weekend wishes to you all!

I love that house and the landscaping! What a great husband! I hope you get back to 100% faster than they antisipate!
Have a fabulous weekend!
YIKES, what an ordeal this has been! Hope that all is well soon and that you can recover fully before summer is here. ;)
Do you teach school lessons from your bed? ;)
PS, that house is adorable, but small compared to Texas standards. I need to take some pictures of the castles just down the lane from our humble abode!
love the pictures! Hope you're doing better soon!
The fact that your husband traipsed around town and took pictures for you might be the sweetest thing I have ever heard. The cemetary was a little strange, but if I gave my husband that assignment, who knows what he would come back with?
I'm sorry to hear you have been so sick. I have just started reading your blog and find it really interesting. I'm glad you are able to use it to help you right now when you need it.
Hi Jennifer...I am on my flu death bed too...instead of going to church this morning, what am I doing, reading blogs...and getting my posts ready for the week. I'll bet you two bucks the Nester says something about being mentioned in the same post along side a graveyard. You have a great husband for playing along with your blogging buddies. Oh, and I know it's none of my business, but I am always so curious about posts that get deleted. I thought only nice people played in our little slice of the blogosphere! From one sickie to another, get well soon!
Oh wait, I just noticed that the comment was deleted by the author not you. Yeah, sometimes that happens.
Wow...I cannot believe you are STILL sick...I feel so bad for you!! Please take it easy and rest, as boring as that may be. At least you can still blog...
Speaking of that, if you are bored, here's an assginment for you: track down all the interesting stuff going on in blogland, and send us their way! Kind of like what Kim at Creative Blogs does, but on a different level...it might give you something to do while in bed...
Take care,
Linda
I'm so sorry to hear you are so sick!! That is no fun!! I hope you get better as soon as possible. We send our love and prayers.
Dr. Seuss trees is the best way to describe that! And did you know it was his birthday today, Sunday? Ah, the things you learn when you have a Kindergartener. I am seriously scared to get sick again with anything now seeing what you have gone through. Do you know why it's hit you this hard??
Yikes, that's not welcome news from the doc! Maybe we better cancel our cabing plans? Just let us know. I really hope you start feeling better soon. I am soooo bummed that I didn't get to come see you this weekend. I hear Lee Ann had to dodge out too. Such a bad sick year!
Girl, I just knew you had a big fat heart! You are just such a sweetheart! I'd rather have a fat heart than a fat brain, or butt.
I hope you feel better soon and thanks for the shout out! I love being mentioned in there with a graveyard--I swear, you can pull anything off--even in writing! Now you owe Debbie two bucks.
Try to enjoy your forced break. I know that your boys will be fine but how frustrating for you! Rest! You have to lay around! This is your 15 year break!
Love you!
that's a house? ooops, I thought it was a church. :)
We had 22 of those trees on our property when we moved here. They weren't that tall, only about 4ft. It was a bit overkill. We got rid of 12 so far.
This heart thing sounds scary. NO EXERCISE! The gym will still be there when you get better.
Email me with your address.

I still have a bunch of older decorating mags from my aunt. I'll send them to you. That will keep you horizontal.
Hahaha! What a sweet husband. The graveyard one just cracked me up, though.
And "Dr. Seuss trees"-- ha! Love that. I think we enjoy the same authors. I'm in the process of painting Dr. Seuss themes on my boys' walls.
