google image tag

Elena had the best tag challenge. You have to answer the following questions, but you can only do it with Google images--none of your own photos--not even when it asks for a picture of you. So, here's what my search turned up:

1. My favorite song. That's like telling Van Gogh to choose his favorite painting! I love music waaay too much to pick one song. So, I listed my three all time favorite CDs.
I spent the entire year of 1993 listening to almost nothing but this Erasure goodie. I can still sing the entire album from start to finish in my sleep :)!

One of the rare groups my husband and I agree on. The Barenaked Ladies are timeless--and this one is GREAT for taking along on car trips to sing out loud too! This CD is what made me fall in love with jazz music. Diana Krall's voice and smooth piano playing always take me to my happy place!

2. Favorite Author:
I love a good, serious book. I love a classic. But I also love a light read that will make me laugh and ROBERT FARRELL SMITH will forever make me laugh! Some of the only books I can read more than once are his (this is really him too!--teeny, tiny him!)

3. My favorite dessert. I can eat chocolate peanut butter ice cream any time, but if I REALLY want a treat--I find a fancy place serving this: Bananas Foster!
Wheee!!! So fun to watch your dessert go up in flames--and then be turned into this---

DELICIOUS! If you have never had this, I feel so very bad for you!

4. Where I live: The Gem State! Except for the too hot summers and too cold winters--it's great here :) . It's home.... and always has been. 5. My Job. Well, of course it's being THE MOM! But I'm also an Interior Designer (love this room!--you have to try and make it bigger to appreciate it!)
I've owned my own company for 12 years and love working just enough to keep me busy and creative.

I also have to include being a homeschooler. While it is part of our every day life, it can surely feel like it needs all the preparation of a job at times!
6. My favorite color. It's a certain shade of olive green. The only place I could think of finding it would be by googling "Jeep Logos"--except none had the exact shade of green. This is pretty close though. I love the way this green mixes so beautifully with chocolate brown and orange--my other two favorite colors.

7. Favorite Animal. A cockerpoo. It's a breed of dog. I don't like all dogs--but this is the kind we had growing up and the kind I'd like to get for our family one day. They're not too big, not too small, very intelligent, and hardly shed at all. So cute :)!

8. My bad habit. Blogging of course! I think it's a great thing and I'd never give it up, but I have to make sure I'm not doing it when I should be doing something else!
9. Favorite food. Italian!!! I could eat it every day and never get tired of it! I love the way you can have light Italian (big salad, minestrone, primavera pasta with a little olive oil and garlic), or you can have heavy Italian (sausage, cream sauce, cheese). And don't even get me started on the pizza aspect!--I have had so many delicious ones I can't even keep track!
10. Favorite Hobby. Talk radio! Glenn Beck is my favorite--but I'll pretty much listen to anything--even the guy giving psychic readings at 11:00 pm on a Saturday night. I always learn something when I listen!
11. My picture.
This is Jennifer Peterson-Hind. She's some country singer who also appears on an annoying kids cable show. She pretty much takes up the first 1,000 hits every time I Google my name. Then there's some Jennifer Peterson lawyer and a Jennifer Peterson gynecologist. Also not me. And I had to throw in Christy Turlington. That site you go where you put in your photo and it matches your appearance to celebrities--this is who they said I looked like. Don't I wish!!!

I'm leaving this as an open tag and would LOVE to see what you girlies come up with!

I seriously need to try a bananas foster - I guess I AM missing out! Wow - I love the same type of dog as you and my fav color is green, although there is too many fun shades for me to pick a favorite. This was a fun post...happy day to you!

Hello.
I am catching up on your last four posts!

I love your post to your boys. Ditto with my kids. I don't think I have concentrated in church for 10 years. And when they are not with me, I have to force myself to sit still.

Sorry to hear about your heart virus. I know that it is hard to take it slowly and let others do all the work. Last year I thought I had had a heart attack (I had very similar symptoms to one), but it turned out that I was severly iron deficient that led to my heart developing a murmur etc. I had to sit and watch for weeks.
I'm glad you are actually feeling better.

I have never had, or even heard of a banana foster. It looks yummy though. And I like the sound of the icecream too.
Erasure... there's a blast from the past! Dianna Krall is lovely. We had some Canadian friends who liked Barenaked Ladies. They are not known down this end of the world.

The cockerpoo is very cute, but not as good as a labrador.

I love bananas foster! But....I've only had it one time! Do you make it? I'm nervous about the whole "flame" thing. And then there's the alcohol. I see recipes without the alcohol and the flame but I have to wonder if it'd be nearly as good.

And the cockerpoo! That's the ONLY dog I want! The only dog I've had is a beagle and a lab, but if my kids get a dog someday, it will be a cockerpoo.

Praying this virus will be gone in the shortest time possible.

Lee Ann--

I actually have a recipe that doesn't use alcohol and you just kind of sautee' them. It is missing that certain "something", but it's still yummy! I'll have to post it sometime soon. I'm sure my husband would love me if I made it again--it's been a while.

Thanks so much for your prayers. So appreciated!

Jenny,
I feel bad for you without banans foster or Barenaked Ladies! I also love labs--we had one for a time--but my 3rd son has such bad asthma that all the shedding drove him crazy. They have the sweetest eyes though!

Glad you're back!

Emily,
I know I'm not THAT much older than you--but I had my first child by the time Fiona Apple was big. What a difference a few years makes :)!!!

Elena,
We'll have to hit six-one-six when you're here next. Their banans foster is to DIE for--served over homemade banana bread and with homemade peanut butter ice cream. YUM!

Family with 5--
I love all green too! Olive is my favorite, but I love leaf green and grass green and apple green and yellow green---all but mint :P!

RU Serious--
Can't wait to see yours!

Apples--
Already had to visit you personally to tell you how happy I am to meet another Erasure fan. Such happy music :)!
