(***Caution: I am not responsible for the cheesy poses you are about to see in these pictures. Actually, yes I am--but in my defense--when else can you act this way except when photographing yourself?!***)
My "cool shooter" pose. I made this one up in Las Vegas.
My artsy, "where's the rain" pose. Who knows where this one came from!
My Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music pose. The hills are alive.....
So here are the 3 things you should have noticed:
1. See how svelte I am still looking? Well, svelte for me anyway. Lucky me!--the 20 pounds I lost being sick hasn't come back! Go ahead and give me lots of compliments... I'm sure I'll find the weight again in the next couple of months :)! Funny-- I am probably the only woman in the world who lost pounds when she STOPPED working out!
2. See my scarf? That was one I made with some of the fabric I purchased a while back. I can hardly say I "made" it since all I did was trim the ends and tie it on--but it doesn't look too bad. And, no, I don't often wander around the house in a dress--I was on my way to a church function (after I finished taking pictures of the flowers and myself of course!).
3. See that chair I'm posing next to? Yup. That's the new chair I got a screaming deal on and promised to show you....but haven't yet. See the green silk fabric draped on it? I tried my darndest to make a skirt for the chair out of it, but it just didn't turn out right. I still love the color and texture of it against the leather though--so it's just hanging out for now. Now I'm leaning toward having a red slipcover with white piping detail made for the chair. My living room needs some more red. I'll have to see what arm and leg the seamstress wants to charge for that!
Oh me oh my--am I ever in need of stuff to blog about! Thanks for reading even when my life is boring :)!

You are NEVER boring...I wasn't bored anyway. :) I love the scarf! Someday you'll have to share some of your creative genius with me.
You are hilarious! I noticed two of the three and I'll be the first to admit I DIDN'T notice the 20 lbs. I'm sure it's because I already thought you were svelte! But man! Way to go on keeping it off.
♥ You crack me up! I didn't even notice the dress. But I was thinking how brave you are to wear an all white shirt! Then I saw that part about the church meeting... :)
Yay about the 20 lbs. At least SOMETHING positive came from being sick! I can't even imagine what you went through!
I totally noticed that you are a skinny stick! Do you even have arms in those sleeves?
Oh my stars, girl! YOU LOOK FABULOUS! And I love love love that you took funny pictures of yourself. Seriously. I'm so sorry that you got so sick, but hey...one of the reasons why I love you is that you find the good in things. Losing weight and keeping it off in time for summer. WOOO HOOOOOO!
My girls are freaking out that you have the "George the Monkey" movie song on your blog right now. They're dancing behind me. You made their day.
I noticed how skinny you still look in that picture of you behind Liam in the blue sweater at his birthday. That sweater is practically hanging on you! Way to keep it off. And cute chair!
One of the things I absolutely love about blogging is that we can be silly, goffy and mundane yet completely entertain and be entertained by complete strangers. You go girl! Love it!
Love it! What? I totally confused you with America's Next Top Model.
Where did you get the cute white blouse? I have to find a cute top that is white for Lance's wedding, so let me know and maybe I'll try one like that. Thanks!
You always look good and I am loving that spring is here too.
Karli
Brittany,
I have always thought you were crazy talented! I know sometimes talent gets a little lost in the business of being a new mommy, but you'll find it never goes away :)!
Lee Ann,
Thanks! I really was just fine with the way I was before, so if it does creep back on--I'm still cool. But it is kind of fun to wear my skinny jeans for now!
Serious,
I'm not afraid to wear white--in fact white shirts are kind of my "uniform". What I DO avoid is dry clean only--yuck!
Nester,
Must I remind you that I know you are a size 3?!
Heather,
The Curious George song is my 4 year olds choice. He can't get enough of it!
Elena,
See Lee Ann's comment! And thanks--I love my new chair!
Debbie,
Hooray for goofing off! I think people I know in real life often think I'm too serious--and I suppose that's the way I usually present myself. But inside, I really am a total goofball. I think that's why I get along with kids so well!
Emily,
LOL! That middle pose is a little Top Model-ish, isn't it ;)?!
Karli,
The top is from Ann Taylor. I got it on clearance--and they are usually always running great white tops on their clearance. Might be a good place to look :)!
You are not going to believe this but I really did think it was those 3!
Looking good!
Great job on the scarf
Great chair find!
All I'm thinking is "remote...I don't have a remote"
***sheesh***
just think of all the cheezy goodness I could do with a remote...I'm still using the push and run method!
~simply~
CONGRATS a thousand times over on the weight loss. May it stay away forever. That is the only perk to being sick like that: the pounds just go away. ;) You look stunning!
