On her blog yesterday, Tiffany asked: If you could sing like anyone, who would it be? That's why I put up this Evanessence song on my playlist. Man! This chick can holler! AND she plays the piano at the same time. If I were her--forget talking, I would just go around singing all the time. Maybe I would even carry around one of those little Casio keyboards so I could accompany myself while I walked around the grocery store or waited in the doctor's office. And I would SO be rockin' the hymns at church!... Anyway--she was my answer. But, of course, Tiffany's question got the morbidly curious side of me thinking and wondering about ya'al again. So I'm sorry to bother everyone again so soon, but could you please answer me a few more questions? Your medicine cabinets are all safe as promised, but there's still your purse I could snoop in while you went to use the restroom during our lunch together ;) .......
1. If you could have any super power, what would it be?
2. What's the first thing you would buy for yourself if you won a million dollars?
3. If you woke to find that you were 6 years old again, what's the first thing you would do?
4. What did you REALLY want to be when you grew up?
*****Hope you all felt like you were famous and being interviewed for Teen Beat!*****

1.Extra arms--and they're all stretchy and bendy. Oh--and I would also be able to clone my stretchy, bendy self. And look super hot in my superhero costume.
2. A fully restored, bottle green, 1963 Austin Healey with the steering wheel still on the right side.
3. Go hug my mom.
4. First, I wanted to be a hotel maid---but I often feel like that one came true.... For years I wanted to be Speaker of the House. Seriously. I don't think I have enough dishonesty in me now to pull it off...
1. If you could have any super power, what would it be? - Super Time Woman - I would be able to fast forward, pause and reverse time at my whim.
2. What's the first thing you would buy for yourself if you won a million dollars? Airline ticket to San Diego with a long layover in Atlanta.
3. If you woke to find that you were 6 years old again, what's the first thing you would do? PLAY BARBIES!!!
4. What did you REALLY want to be when you grew up? A veterinarian... till I took 10th grade biology and we had to disect a fish.... I couldn't do it.
1. A healing power or to be able to fly.
2. A new wardrobe (not that i dislike my current clothing) or my own airplane (that could take up my whole million dollars though)!
3. I don't know (I really can't think of anything)...maybe have a Barbie fashion show with my sis...or spy in the bushes on those "creepy teenagers"! hehe
4.When I was a little girl I wanted to be a model or famous actress.
1. The power to read minds. I think too many arguments are started because no one truly understands what the other person is thinking. It would sure make life with my husband easier.
2. I would pay off my house. I am way too practical.
3. Apologize to my mom for being a stinker
4. A doctor, a lawyer, or a political speech writer.
What a great idea! I may hijack it for a post if that's okay - since you hijacked it from Tiffany.
Okay...let's see:
1. I would probably want to fly or maybe be able to warp myself to another place (not necessarily time zone, but that would be cool too). Warping would be good for road trips home (It always takes longer going home than getting to your destination)
2. A new wardrobe - read my post tomorrow and you'll see why.
3. play outside, ride my bike, go to the pool everyday
4. figure skater or gymnast
1. Something with no limits to my energy level. This includes being able to run at lightening speed and never need to sleep.
2. New clothes and home decor.
3. Go outside and play ALL day, get dirty and not even care.
4. A teacher or a Vet.
1. read minds, because frankly there are too many people who think i already have this gift.....so might as well go with it.
2.a new wardrobe, because im feelin kinda homely at the moment
3.hop in my gparents RV and head off on an adventure with them.
4.A Dancer....not a stripper...a dancer, i guess i got my wish to an extent since i teach on the side, and can still shake my grove thing at a club....but im not famous...so....
Oh and, Hey I came up with a fun and exciteing way to fogive, and wanted to invite you to check it out and participate!!! Heres the link:
"real raggin wednesdays" http://theloalbos.blogspot.com/2008/06/real-raggin-wed-first-rag.html
and rag on sistas!!
1. Mind reading. I love reading novels that give you everyone's thoughts. It so much easier.
2.Buy a beach house with a private dock. Nothing too fancy. (Do you think a million would do it?)
3. Probably taunt my older siblings and then be forced to lock myself in the bathroom, again!
4. A writer and an artist.
1. Not sure I would want a super power.
2. Truly, give it away. It sounds so unbelievable, but I have had money and it doesn't increase your faith or make you happier.
3. Dance in the rain in my underwear.
4. A spy!
Lisa Q
lifewiththequeens.blogspot.com
1. ESP because I would love to know Britany Spears thoughts.
2. I would buy a house somewhere on the east coast. But, then again probably not because my parents would be mad that I took their grandkids away... ooh, I could leave the grandkids here in CA!
3. Complain that I had been going to school "all my life" because that is actually what I said on my first day of 1st grade.
4. I REALLY wanted to be a stay at home mom with a rich husband... and I thought it would be fun to homeschool. None of that has worked out so far.
~Your blog is great!~
Fun! :)
1. Super power: To know certain things about the future.
2. Million $: I honestly can't think of a single thing I'd buy just for me! Huh.
3. 6-years-old: Listen to awesome 80s music and hang out with my family
4. I really wanted to be an architect but thought I wasn't good at math so never tried.
I enjoyed this post enough to steal it for myself to do on my blog later when I get a chance. So be watching for my responses there in the next week or so.
You come up with such fun questions!
1. Super power: Ability to heal
2. First thing I'd buy for me is the services of a seamstress to make me pretty clothes that don't have flowers or kitties on them.
3. Hug my parents - and then tell them to buy stock in Microsoft.
4. Oh, this is a story. When I was 6, I loved to play with the girl who lived behind us...because she had lots of make-up. One day after we had applied all that she had, her mom told us that we looked like sluts. So, I went home and told my mom that I wanted to be a slut when I grew up.
And later...I wanted to be a spy - even when I went to college - my initial majors were Russian and Political Science. But, I changed my major rather quickly...
super power - How about I could eat anything I want, and never gain a pound.
Million$ - Hmm, I would get a new wardrobe, pay a dentist to give me perfect teeth, remodel my home.
6 again - Enjoy taking a nap!
grow up - I alway wanted to be a chef. I used to love cooking shows (ok, I still do). Sometimes I would pretend I was the cook on a cooking show. Now, if I can get out of cooking, I do. It's no fun when your the one who has to plan the meals and buy the groceries.
I'm so enjoying this music. Who doesn't like a powerful woman "I'm going to kick your a@#" singer? Did I just cuss? I don't cuss! She just puts me in that mood I guess!!!
Okay, as for the interview: uh Ummm, I have to clear my throat:
1) Super power: Seriously, I have to think long and hard about this one. There are so many, and if not thought out properly, it could be a curse. Did I tell you I was a huge fan of the TV series Hero? HUGE FAN!! For me, it would have to be secretive, one that nobody would know I had so that they wouldn't attach themselves to me for the wrong reasons....hmmmm...let me think. OOOOOHHHH, I would have the super power to know what people "really" think of me...oh man. Wouldn't that just be torture? Okay, maybe I'll just stick with being able to fly.
2)A CD (Certificate of Deposit that is, not music). Really, I'm not kidding. I love money, why not have more!!! I know, lame-oh.
3) Go swimming!!!!! Hooray!!
4) A teacher...a glorious teacher. I still dream of becoming a teacher, and have my sons room transformed into a classroom at this very moment. I really want to that much. Maybe one day...
To be able to turn carbs into muscle! I'm so shallow...I asked sweet hubby and he said time travel...so he could meet lots of people and stop tradgedies from occurring...ahhhhh, so sweet...me, I just am thinkin' of myself and want to look better :)
ANYTHING I WANTED!!!
Be much more attentive to my parents and not ask every 5 seconds for something! (Oh! And put on my winnie-the-pooh shoes I loved!)
I thought I would be a veteranarian or a child psychologist...go figure, I turned out to be a dental hygienist/mom!
So I was all about the singing as my super power, but then Nicole comes up with eating anything and not gaining a pound.. yeah, I have to go with that.
This one is hard..some property in wine country with room for a pool, guest house and dirt bikes!
Go lay in bed with my mom, dad and sister. (You have me tearing up with your answer. Makes me want to go hug my mom right now,)
News Anchor or talk show host. The dream is still alive! (Talk show host, not news anchor. I couldn't deliver the state of the world. yuck. but I would be great on Good Morning America chatting it up with the celebs!)
I just love coming back and checking everyone's answers. The super power of eating and not gaining a pound was BRILLIANT!!!
Miki,
I agree---that would truly be a power that would keep me looking super hot in my supersuit ;)!
Super Power - I really like the super power of eating.
Buy with a Million - is a million enough to do all the good that I want to? That is what I would do is use it to help others.
Being 6 again - I think that I would enjoy it more. Lay in the grass and watch the sky more, be better person, friend and daughter and I would defffinately by lots of Apple Stock in the early 80's sp I would be able to fulfill my Bucket List.
I am still working on being who I want to be when I grow up. I am a wife and mother but I also want to get my nursing degree and that has taken longer than I thought.
1. I would fly
2. A vacation
3. Lose my mind
4. A mom
So I came across your blog and have to say it's BY FAR the MOST CREATIVE blog I've yet seen. I enjoy reading your "question posts". We're in your ward and we've seen you in the halls and your boys in primary, but unfortunately we've never really spoken much. Infact, I think you held Quincy at a RS dinner. Anyhow I will answer your questions.
1. I would defiantely agree with others about eating anything and not gaining weight. But I suppose it would be cool to be able to see yourself and others through God's eyes. I think that would give the world a whole new pespecive.
2. I would buy my dream home, nothing extravagant....and paint EVERY single room! I hate living in apts. and not being able to paint the walls any color. I hate looking at dull strak white walls!
3. For sure give my parents a hug and apologize for being so rotten as a kid. I think I never realized how hard it must hav been for them until I became a mother!
4. I wanted to be an art teacher. I still wish I had been more serious about persuing my "art" dreams, but hey getting a Floral Deisgn Mngmnt. degree was close right? I came to the reality that teachers are way underpaid....I still think it's totally wrong hat professional athletes make more than people who are educating the next generaion. How is that fair?!
Thanks for the questions.... :)
let's see:
*i'm not so sure on the super-power thing. perhaps maybe the thing that hermione gets where she can split herslef and get more things done (in her case, it was to go to mare classes....) that would be great!
*first thing i would buy:
car: yellow min-coup
house: for sure!
clothes: lots and lots of 'em
and anything else that comes across my path!
*if i was six i would play like there were no tomorrow...no worries about anything. i'd just have some stinkin' good fun!
*when i grew up i wanted to be a pediatric nurse and then i realized that there was no way that was going to happen....i knew that i would never make it through the schooling required. i also wanted to be a teacher...that is still what i want to be when i grow up...working on that one.
Super power: Um...lots of energy all the time.
Million bucks: a swimming pool in the backyard.
6 years old: HMMM...it's been so long I really don't know
I wanted to be an English teacher as I played school ALL THE TIME.
1.super power - I would go for those Elasta-girl arms!! I NEED them!!
2. first thing you would buy? A new wardrobe, or maybe a personal trainer?
3. 6 years old again? Go love on my dog "Pup" again...she was THE BEST
4. What did you REALLY want to be when you grew up? Which time? The nurse, or vetrinarian, or author, or artist, or astronaut...
