Friday Fotos---double week edition

Current dialogue taking place in my head: Hmmm.....more technical communication homework? Or blogging and The Office? Tech comm? Or blogging and The Office?.......

Well I DID promise everyone Friday Fotos this week, SOOOOOOO

Here's what we've been up to for the past TWO weeks! (I'll do tech comm next. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm wide awake or half-asleep---I don't get it!)

I've met Miki, I've met Jenni, and now I can add Aubrey to my list of blogging friends met:

Yup! There we are at the Golden Spoon enjoying our yogurt while our children run amuck taking pictures of eachother. (I got some hilarious photos as a result!) Aubrey is a cutie pie in person and I'm so glad we got the chance to chat for a while. Hi Aubrey! Queen Shiner---you're next, right?!

Elena--remember those sunflower seeds you sent me when I was sick? Look at what they grew:

I love 'em! And look at the Zinnias behind them. Who but God could create a plant that would grow a pink flower, a purple flower, a yellow flower, a red flower, and a white flower ALL AT THE SAME TIME?! Yes--I take about as many pictures of my flowers as I do my kids. Speaking of which----here are my kids :)! ............

Loves me a pile of boys!

If you ever want the most INCREDIBLE tricep and ab workout, just try stretching the top to a trampoline all by yourself! Whoa Nellie! I was praying for divine strength near the end of this task, but I DID IT :)!-----

Look how HIGH James is bouncing! Hilarious! So glad I made this investment. Even Dave Ramsey approved.

Mmmmmm........Who made those fine, perfectly toasted marshmallows?

That would be ME!----This is how we spent our Labor Day. Sitting around our fire pit roasting various things. I know, we're pathetic homebodies, but we had fun :)
And so this weekend:
Be excellent to one another and party on dudes! (and if any of you can name that movie, congratulations!!!------you're old :)!)

*Zane would like for me to let those who are readers of his blog know that he has FINALLY put a new post up. It's about him being student of the month, and he didn't want me to tell the story and ruin it for him. BUT I am soooo proud of my kiddo (wiping away a tear).

I'm not ashamed to know of the Bill and Ted empire. Am I right? Now I'm second guessing.

Love that trampoline!

Um, that would be Bill and Ted's Most Excellent Adventure featuring the One and Only Keanu Reeves. Thank you very much. LOVED THAT MOVIE! I may have to do a flashback on it. Great pictures. Several bloggers and I have talked about getting together in real life, but haven't yet. You put us to shame!

Oh come on now! Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure! Tooooo easy!

And I love your trampoline pictures. Putting it over a hole in the ground was sheer brilliance.

I haven't been over here in a little while...okay, that's totally a lie...I've been over here a-lurking like every day, but haven't had the time to comment--I've missed you!

I just wanted you to know I've been thinking about you and *everything* you're going through. I have big faith in you though girl--I can tell you're fiesty (sp? darn it)! And you are such a wonderful momma. I mean, look at you!

Glad you got to meet some blogfriends. You knooooow...if you're ever in Oregon...;D

I feel your lack of computer skilled pain...hang in there! That class has nothing on you! :)

Is it strange at all when you meet someone in person that you have gotten close with online? It is for me.

Thanks for rubbing in how old I am, always a good start to my weekend. :) Our Labor Day was rained out but we still did marshmallows over the BBQ.

Ahhhh... look how pretty your garden grew! I'm glad you were able to find a spot for the sunflowers. And YES, I can imagine how hard it would be to pull a tramp top by yourself. That is TOUGH work, you've got some guns to get done! So fun to meet the bloggy ladies. I dream about booking an entire cruise for just blogging buddies. How fun would that be? One more thing, you let me know when Queenie comes to town, I want to meet her too. :) (Speaking of that I think we're coming the first weekend in Oct. You going to be around?)

I loved all the photo updates! How great that you got to meet another blogging buddy. I find myself noticing comments from IRL friends on favorite blogs, like yours, and thinking, "Wow, you are so lucky to get to hang out with her in person!"

I found out that a blogging buddy's daughter lives in my town, and our children are involved in some of the same activities. So maybe we'll get to meet someday.

And one last thing, I noticed your comment on Jenny for her SITS day. I had to laugh because I was drawn to her white dresses post first, and then you mentioned me there. My husband thought I was a little kookie to interrupt his football game watching to tell him how touched I was that you mentioned my blog and called me your friend. But anyway, thanks! You are so sweet!

Love it! We are homebodies too! And as far as that quote...I am old but not sure what movie it's from. I might venture to guess it was Fast Times at Ridgemont High...which I've never seen anything but clips of...It sounds like something from that movie, though. Glad to see you back!

Brian and Staci said...

I love me a pile of boys too...only my pile is only half as big as yours :( Nice job on the roasting of marshmallows :) Here's to hoping you have a restful weekend :)

Is it strange that I visit your blog several times!! I finally have to tell myself, "you only get to go see other people's blog's if you blog yourself!" Oh, I'm in such bloggy block right now...and I'm totally breaking my rule.

Anyway, love Fridays...love 'em. That first picture of your boys was very cute. Oh, and it's fun to see my name again right on your very own blog! Why is that so much fun for us silly girls? It just is!

Wishing you well, and movie time will have to happen....next year. lol...j/k. When will things ever settle down? I'm going to watch for a MUST SEE, and then we're going...even if you have to bring your computer with you...it counts.

Best bloggy wishes...

I am old. And my hair needs to be dyed. Cause I have procrastinated it for way too long - it is sooo gray. Thanks for the reminder :-)

And that is so cool that you are meeting your bloggy friends. I am going to meet one tomorrow for the first time!

Hey, nothing wrong with a little pyro-love. I know you are secretly one too Jennifer.

I am amazed at you stretching that trampolene by yourself!

I'm jealous of all the blog gals you have met. I guess no one want to travel to or live in the hot ol' state of Texas!

Crap. I'm old. Oh well... I have to say that I am envying your jeans and hoodie. I am in Florida and still sweating to the nineties. (that's degrees!)

Aubrey said...

It was so nippy up there on Labor Day--and I almost didn't take jackets.

I've decided that for good pictures, I need a massive camera and a Zaney photographer.

Aubrey said...

Oh, and Lexie's yogurt is still in our freezer. Yes, I took it home to freeze at the cousin's, hauled it ALL THE WAY HOME in the cooler so it could melt again, so I could let it freeze again in my freezer.

I think I'm too frugal.

I'm not ashamed to immediately recognize that quote from Bill & Ted, first spoken by Keanu, who is now a "serious" actor!
