Here's what we've been up to this week.....
Except for the candy canes -- which have mysteriously been disappearing one by one -- the tree has held up pretty well. Even with Liam giving it longing looks like this (he's thinking---"oh man! I'd like to get my hands on that! Mom and her rules!.... I'm a creative genius for crying out loud!").
This picture says SO much about life around here. Half decorated gingerbread house because Liam ate most of the candy. James climbing on the counter with a jacket on....but no pants. And my two older ones just rolling with it all---because they have to ------ or else :) .Here's my dining room ready for Christmas. My $499 chandelier that I got for $75 is always so much fun to decorate. And that door leads to my laundry room---just in case any of you were wondering. I'll take pictures of the inside of it one day.
Here I am with Emily's cute flower on my hat, but also with my new jade necklace that I got from here. I am so in love with ETSY shops and supporting amazing, creative women! I might pay a little more, but I get one of a kind objects that mean so much more to me than some piece of "Made in China" bought at Wal*Mart.
James LOVES to do boxing on the wii--so he's quite familiar with the concept of "boxing". A few months back, he discovered the gloves I use in my kickboxing class. He loves to wear them around and box everything and everyone. He's getting kind of strong though--at least that's what my rear end is noticing as he comes at me from behind while I'm cooking. Good thing he's cute!
Hopefully Haute Cakes Mystery Man won't mind me throwing yet another picture of him up on the blog--but is it just me or does he not bear a striking resemblance to Adam Levine of Maroon 5?.....
I know!!! So--there he is in California looking like a rockstar.....
whereas I am here in Idaho bearing a striking resemblance to something repeatedly ran over with a car.

But I still totally have a chance, right :) ?!

I love the gingerbread decoration picture, it is GREAT to have little ones&action around! Again, memories from childhood... (I have four "little" brothers)

Your unedited "self portrait" made me laugh out loud! And BTW, you are WAY cute! I totally agree that Mystery Man looks hotter than Adam Levine. Don't get me wrong, I am all about some Maroon 5, but sometimes Adam Levine looks a little too Metro-sexual for me (although, he probably has a gay stylist that dresses him that way). I'm all about a manly man.
Alright Haute Cakes has to be his new nickname. LOVED it! And yes he does look like cootie patootie Maroon 5 man. That picture of Zane looks so much like YOU!!! And your chandilier looks ready for the celebrating.

BTW, I don’t get why you call him Haute Cakes – did I miss a post? It does roll off the tongue a bit easier than “M” “M” or “M squared”, but a good nickname needs some meaning behind it.

Haute Cakes has been known to sit down at the piano and belt out a pretty awesome version of "Just the Way you Are". Kind of makes me all melty. But, you wouldn't know anything about that. Or the inside story about Haute Cakes. I guess you're just on the outer circle of this whole thing. Too bad for you.
