Twas the Night of my Broken Computer

Twas several nights before Christmas
and all through this house
not a Jennifer P. was blogging
or clicking her mouse

The spot for her computer
was looking quite bare
Because the thing's broken
that use to sit there

And so instead of computering
I've been taking a nap
(though I don't own a kerchief
or sleep in my cap)

When what to my wondering eyes
should appear
but my laptop computer
just lying there

And I knew in a moment
that I must make it so
to write a quick blog post
just so you'd know

That I'm out of commission
for the next several days
because my laptop and I
have differing ways

So don't forget my broad face
or my round little belly
that shakes when I laugh
like a bowl full of jelly.

I'll be back good and soon
with some help from an elf
and I'll have my old computer
and feel more like myself

Now here me exclaim
as I blog out of sight
"Merry Christmas to all,
and to all a good night!"
------------------------
p.s. do not trust telephone IT guys to "help you" un-install and re-install your corrupt browser because it might be that what they are actually making you do is un-install part of your Windows program. And then you'd be on the verge of losing your entire, not backed up in a couple of months hardrive. Aren't computers just **swell**?! Practically Christmas miracles they are :P .
---------------------

Love to you all. I'll be back in 3-5 with lots of pictures and fun tales to tell. Wishing you all a very, Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year ahead!

You are way too creative. And ingenious. And stuff :-)

I hope that your computer is rescued. And I need to have my live in tech support back up my pictures. Tonight.

Aren't computers just the most annoying things sometimes. I hope you get everything worked out. And in the meantime have a wonderful time with those cute boys of yours! Have a great day!

I hope you aren't starving
from blog visitation
'cuz I'm sure you'll be missed
all across this great nation.

However, remember,
we all can relate
to blogging withdrawls
that we've had of late

As we hustle and bustle
traversing the malls,
making goodies for friends,
and decking the halls.

I'm sure that I speak
for everyone here,
When I wish Jennifer P.
"Merry Christmas & New Year!"

Bloggy love to you (and your computer of differing ways)! MWAH!!!

Happy Holidays!!!

This was great ... what a poet!
And I'm a Jennifer P. too so it is always weird for me to read that ... like I have an alternate life!

I love it Jennifer, especially since I did the same type of post this morning (well actually last night - loving auto post). I did my own little version of the night before Christmas as well.

Such fun!
Merry Christmas!

Oh....all you people that whip out little jingles....so talented and creative! Sorry about the computer woes. You know who to call if you need to!!!

How is it that I scroll through the comments, and Trish's is the only one I stop and read?! HOW IS THAT!?

AND THEN.... I get to comment after my good friend Elena...HOOORAY!

Wait. Is this Jennifer's post? I THINK SO! Enough of me and my ramblings of bloggy comment buddy's.

Jennifer...SO SAD! All I picture is you sitting on your little automan thingy with slumped shoulders staring at a blank space in your armoire. See? H.O.W S.A.D!

Merry Christmas Jennifer P. By chance, do you want my leftover Dark Chocolate Hershey bars? Nobody over here likes them....nobody I say! And I just so happened to scoop the biggest scoop of them out of the bulk bins. I wasn't trying to get the darks. It just happened!

When I read somewhere (don't remember when) that you liked them, I stared at the pile of accumulating dark chocolates and WISHED them to you in my mind....but that's not working. I think I actually have to DO something physical to get them over to you.

INTERESTED???? Please be!

P.S. Forgot to mention I didn't notice it was Trish's writing until I asked myself, "who is this?"....

I feel your pain! Mine is about to crap out on me any minute, thank God for my work laptop! LOL Merry Christmas from one Jen P to another! :-)

Trish said...

Oh, funny, Miki!

Hey, just bopped by to say, "Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you are up-n-runnin' again very soon!

Bloggy love to you!

Aubrey said...

Me too, WishTrish. I hope you got all that dark chocolate somehow. I like the dark side, too. Did you get a new computer for Christmas?

My husband will love me when he's trying to wake me for 9:00 church tomorrow. I tell you the vocal chords are not awake then! (The Primary kids PROVE it.) Lovin' me the chorister job. And the snow we keep getting that does not feel good melting in my church shoes. At 9 in the AM. It's practically still DARK then! Note to self: change religion where you choose your church time, or check in to the nursing home in our stake, or buy boots.
