Here's what we've been up to this week.....
My Liam looks so grown up with his new haircut! All the boys' hair has seemed to naturally grow into a bowl cut (very straight and very thick) so that's usually how I've had it cut until they were older, but when Liam requested his hair cut like his brothers-- I gave in. Now he and Ethan look *SO* much alike!.....and my hair gel budget just increased :)
We've had friends visiting from Utah all week. Here they are playing wall ball against the garage in the 102 degree heat AND my son is wearing a BLACK shirt and long pants. Huh?! Didn't seem to phase them at all though!
I sent them out back to cool off in the sprinkler when they were done--which naturally turned into the "spray eachother with the hose game". I thought this picture just screamed summer!
And that's it! I'm planning on enjoying my weekend safely at **room temperature**....enjoy yours too!
~Happy Weekending!~

I think this is where I'm supposed to comment about it being "dry heat" or something :) Since I've never been out of the South, I'll just assume that 102 is still pretty darn hot, no matter where you live!
Oh those hot Boise summers. Ugghhh...I don't miss them. The other day Jarom and I went to the movie and when we walked out it was that hot suffocating air that felt just like Boise. As we drove by the bank thermometer it said 106. Not sure I believe that it was that hot, but I know why it felt like Boise! Liam looks so handsome with his new do! And I love the hose shot. Have a great weekend, apparently we're going to be enjoying ours with the stomach flu. (Alyssa's been up all night. Arggg...)
Looks like tons of fun! It's been hot here, too. I just keep telling myself that come January I'll be praying for weather like this. I think I'm a fall and Spring person, they're so much less extreme than sumer and winter. Have a great weekend!
Boy, Michigan weather has been cooler than usual. We're sitting at about 75 to low 80s all week. You should come visit ;) Or enjoy your AC--thats probably more affordable! :D
we don't have a.c. in our house. dern, but a very cool basement.
a.c. is an awesome invention....though i had a friend post on FB that she just put metal bowls full of ice in front of her fans and that seemed to help A LOT...i have a.c. so i don't have to worry about that.
doing summery things just seems to help in the heat.
yesterday we went to a free movie in the morning...a cool, dark theater just screams summer to me. and today we're off to the pool...me to work on my tan (and read my humongous book) and the boys to splash and play till it gets too hot for mom to sit in the sun any longer!
enjoy your weekend!
Re: hair gel....
as if you asked or something....
This is THE best and will last for atleast a year.....
We've converted MANY devoted followers...k, now this just sounds weird.
Anyhoo..I thought buying gel for my hubby and two boys was enough....so thought I'd pass on my tip!

PS- you can't beat the 'gross-out' factor of the gel- boys LOVE it and it makes my daughter squeal!
It's over 100 degrees there? Really? I don't think we have gotten that high this summer. Our humidity is horrid...but we are pretty stable in the 90's. And last week we were even in the low 80's. It was odd.
And that hose picture...I love it!
i agree, that last picture is for sure a billboard for summer time :) have a great weekend!
