Here's *the fam* in our costumes:

James in his stripe shirt/ cow costume combination (complete with real "cow smell" that night thanks to a poopy diaper!)

Zane as Zoro. I loved drawing on my child's face with a Sharpee :) .

You KNEW I was going to work my favorite wig into some rudimentary costume, right :) ?! I think I'm attempting to be...... a Disco Clown maybe? My neighbor Chris thought I was Beyonce' from the Austin Powers movie---so I guess that's an option too! I just know I got to wear lots and lots of glittery blue eye shadow and loved it :) !

that looks fun. they do trunk or treat around here but i have never gone. looks like maybe i should next year :)
I heard about it and saw someone on TV talking about it. This year this particular church decided to raise the bar by having a trunk decorating contest so everyone was out decorating the trunk of the car, handing out candy, etc. If I had thought of it sooner we would have been there as well. Maybe next year.
It sound like a great idea. Although we don't celebrate Halloween in any way, I can see the benefit in this.
Great Zorro outfit!
Brilliant idea!! The boys look so cute! And since Lula has stolen The Boy from me to marry her Libby...I offer you a dowry of two sheep, a goat, five chickens (complete with coop), and a room in my pink beach bungalow I will grow old in for your four boys to marry my four girls.
Our church does Trunk or Treat also. It is a good alternative to the regular halloween. The kids were cute and I love that wig!!

Can't help but love those little "stinkers"! The mini-van invasion is hysterical, in our ward it's the suv invasion. Your wig is classic!
That is hilarious about James' diaper. You look great and I love trunk or treating for the quick-ness of it too. It's so convenient and safe as well. Ours was over before it was even dark! It was lovely. Made a quick stop to Great Gma & Gpa and had a party at Z's house. Your boys look awesome-my bro-in-law was Zoro too!
AWESOME...as always. i'm a huge fan of trunk or treat as well...fabulous and its fun to actually be able to stop and chat with a few people that you don't see all that often (well i guess that just really only happens with me b/c i'm stuck in the primary room with the kids all day on sundays...so i actually do have to catch-up with people...)
i think beyonce it is!
this was the first year we haven't been in a ward that does it and it was very sad. I hated the idea of walking up and down the gigantic mountain we live on but since my kids pooped out early it turned out ok
We rock the trunk or treat too...but I'm the Activities Chair right now, so it wasn't a go-and-leave deal for us last night...still, lots of fun (and relatively EASY!!)
I completely agree. Trunk or Treats are brilliant!
Michael took the girls last night. I don't schlep around the neighborhood doing such. I stay home. And blog. And give candy to the one girl who ventured up the stree to our house. I stayed warm. And ate cupcakes, too. AND I had over an hour of blessed silence.
(LOVE your t-shirt from your Halloween post.)
What CUTE costumes!! So glad you all had fun :)
You were so cute. So were the boys. I agree, trunck or treat is the way to go. It was nice to be done so soon, and then not worry about it any more. My kids definitely came home with too much candy.
Love all the mini-vans!! Haha.
super fun blog! Love it!
I so love trunk or treat and our ward skipped it this year! Ugh.
I have to say - lovin the wig as I have the same one. My sweetheart wore it to work on Firday - he's a big shot lawyer. Silly man. I am wearing it tonight to a So You Know You Can't Dance party. Groovy.
Interesting. I have never heard of that before, or thought of that. Love your wig!
What a great idea!! I love everything about it! It looks like you guys had a ball!!
Our church does Trunk or Treat too, and I love it. I'm amazed how much time some families put into decorating their cars or setting up a scene. My favorite this year was a family with grown children who set up a camp site with tent and a camp fire they made with lit streamers blowing like flames. They even set an open can of beans on top, and the dad sat bundled up in a lawn chair pretending to roast marshmallows while he handed out candy. I couldn't believe all the effort they went to for our little ones! Now we are set with plenty of temptation for Mom, I mean candy for the kids.
Your trunk or treat looked really fun! We used to do that when we lived in California. It's genius. I wish we still had one here. Your kids look great! As, of course, you do as well! Glad you had a wonderful, quick and safe Halloween!
You are way hotter than Beyonce. In ANY movie.
Please take Heather up on the marriage offer...then she can forgive me for stealing The Boy for Libbey. I mean...she has 4 girls. There's just 1 The Boy. And I really need for Libbey to marry into the R Family so that Tiffany & I can grow old together, watching college football on fall weekends. So this works out perfectly...your 4 boys with Heather's 4 girls. Please?
I wish our ward would do trunk or treat, but the bishop says it makes all the old people sad when no kids come. Our neighborhood's full of bah-humbugs, too.
Man, how did you get all those evans to line up perfectly just for your picture? I think there are more vans in that shot than in our whole ward!
Cute kids, especially the sharpie stache. That'll look great on Sunday at church. And I hate to tell Lula and Heather that 3 of your 4 boys have already been spoken for. Zane for Alyssa, Ethan for Halle, and James for Kate. Liam is available ONLY because he can't marry Carter. :)
That is a wonderful idea! It would even be better if the car was Christine!! lol
Weird, I'm actually liking the music you have on today ;)
Gayla is off singing "This is Halloween, this is Halloween, this is Haloween"
Heck, I'm not even going to leave your blog til the song is over.
I was anxious to see your sweet family dressed up for Halloween. You always do such fun things with your boys and your house! I really loved Zane's Zorro face! Great job!!!
Awesome costumes! You look hilarious!!! Trunk or treat is so great and yours was in the daylight too it looks, so how nice :) Yay for fun holidays with candy! :D
I think I should talk my siblings into taking their kiddos to a trunk-or-treat next year b/c they all got scared by creepy costumes this year! NOT FUN for them. Felt like we were torturing them! Love your Halloween music, by the way!
sounds like a fun night - we only had 4 trick or treaters... kind of a disappointment...
so did you really get louboutins? i'm dying to know.
Ah, the trunk or treat. Miss this phenomenon from St. George.
So much fun!
Love Zorro.
Ahhh too much fun :) What cute little goblins you have :) LOVE your wig by the way! Trunk or treating...it sure does sounds like the way to go!
your blog is so so cute!!! I love it!!!!! Your kids costumes are just adorable!!!
Thanks for visitng my blog too :)

Hello? (me, peeking from behind a bush). Can I come slithering back to the comment fun now? My neck is feeling better tonight, and I'm starting to come back on the scene...anyone home?
I'm just so trunk-er-treated out because I'm on the activities committee at our church. Your ward turned out in droves. It looked like a lot of fun.
Alright, I'm going to scroll through some of your posts I've been missing out on in a bit. I thought I would just try commenting on the first entry of everyone's blogs to see how my neck holds up. I can feel it tightening up right now....so we'll see...
the DISCO CLOWN costume is AWESOME! by the way, nice shirt in the kitchen pic!
great idea!!!! The pix of all the minivans totally cracks me up!
I saw that "trunk-or-treat" at the school last year and wondered what it was. I thought maybe it was the teachers from the school that set that up. Now I know. We took our kids around the neighbourhood and was pleasantly surprised when they said they were done a half hour later. I think they mostly wanted to come home and dump out their loot so they could see what they got.
Trunk or Treating IS genius. You all looked FABULOUS!
We have trunk or treat at our church as well...but who can pass up two hours of trick or treating in the neighborhood. Yup that is how long my little Sharpay and Buzz Lightyear were out on Halloween!
I love the wig!!
Looks like a fabulous time...
