Don't you
LOVE those days that you expect to be stressful, but that turn out as though they should have a soundtrack running behind them and people applauding at the end. Today, lucky me, was one of those days. I started the morning with my most favorite peanut butter hot chocolate. I add just a little cream to give it a good froth, and my rusty-trusty hot cocoa maker spins it all around and stops when the perfect temperature is reached. It looks so pretty in the mug I painted!
Mmmmmm.....Tastes just like a cup of melted chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Don't you want some? (Torani Peanut Butter Syrup now available at Cost Plus World Market!). Next Zane had to go take a math test which just happened to be held at the branch of our library that's in the mall. I thought: A math test, in the MALL, in DECEMBER (or almost December)--what a stupid combination. James is usually (bless his heart I love him anyway) a holy terror to take out into public where he can't run freely. I was not looking forward to two hours of strolling about the crowded mall with him screaming at the top of his lungs. Happy Ending: James was wonderful! He was intrigued by all the lights and decorations. I got my exercise walking all around. NO LINES to see Santa! No crying while on Santa's lap! Jennifer finds super cute Swedish-like pillow covers at Pottery Barn that match her Christmas decor perfectly!

No wait to eat lunch at the
Cheesecake Factory--all my children still behaving like angels. As a reward we get this wonderful peanut butter cookie dough cheesecake to take home and split amongst us (note: I can never get enough peanut butter and chocolate!)
We even make a trip to the pet store where there is the most adorable Scottie dog puppy that just melts my heart (and at $800 he would melt my credit card too!). Then I remember lazy orange cat at home who would probably not like to have a brother of the dog sort. Day still going good!.....
We come home, little children take a nap, big children read their books, mom gets to blog.
And they all lived happily ever after!

p.s. I would be honored to grace your blogroll. But, only if I can add you to mine!
Oh that sounds delightful! And peanut butter hot chocolate! Oh my! And I'm going to Cost Plus tonight to get the Advent calendar you suggested too. I drink plain old hot chocolate two times a day for my calcium. I have to keep it at 100 calories though so I'm sure the peanut butter syrup will throw me over the edge. But maybe just to indulge! Ooooh I'm so excited. My hair newly done, dinner out with my husband, shopping at Cost Plus, peanut butter hot chocolate. Yippee!
jen, looking great! it looks like you're venturing out and trying some of the cute things you saw on that blog; good for you! and, sounds like a very fun day out with the boys. gotta love those.

So fun to see Friedrick (sp?), I don't think I've seen him since you moved from the apt. He's always hiding in the garage or laundry room. And YUMMY stuff today. I LOVE Adam's Peanut Butter Cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. Have you ever tried that one? So good!
