do you think i might be a little lonely?...

So, here's my deal----- a lot of you know that I find this guy irresistible:

alan rickman

this one too:
blake lewis

and this guy--hubba! hubba!:

gabriel macht

I'm even ok with myself for watching a certain annoying show with my kids from time to time just to get a look at these two:
Chris and Martin Kratt

But, today, when I stopped to have a longer, ooh-la-la kind of look at this guy, I deduced that I may be a little starved for human affection:
Yes. That would be Lazytown's Sportacus. Now he can do a pretty amazing split leap, and has a stylin' handlebar moustache, and my James DOES watch the one episode we have of this show on DVD at least 4 times a day so it's kind of like he's at my house a lot......but, still, well, yeah......

Like I told my friend the other day---maybe I need a cat or two or fourteen.

Fess up ladies---anybody a "little out of the ordinary" appeal to you? I promise I'll only tell.......everyone!!! :)

*and Sunshine--I know you already claimed that one Wiggle for yourself, so I won't even consider him!

**NOONTIME UPDATE: I found this picture of Sporty sans costume, and maybe I'm not so crazy after all :)

Have you seen "Truly Madly Deeply" with Alan Rickman? I'm guessing yes since you sound completely head over heels :) If not, it's worth watching!!!

I might be aging myself but, I used to have a thing for Bill Ny the Science Guy:-)

That is hilarious! I like Alan Rickman too. I don't even find him that attractive.. there is just something really sexy about him.

Sportacus? Really? I was going to tell you, but since you are going to blab, my lips are sealed. :)

I have read a couple of blogs where the ladies have had a crush on Steve from Blues Clues. Which totally cracks me up. I can't think of any character that appeals to me...Joe from Blues Clues is cute, but he's no John Krasinski who I have a teensy weensy big crush on;)

Normally kid's shows don't bother me. I didn't mind Barney. I actually liked watching The Wiggles (and it's Anthony that is hot). But Lazy Town? That one got on my nerves. I even sent the CD we had to the consignment sale.

Hahaha!! That's hilarious!

I have actually heard of quite a few moms who were into Sportacus.

I like Steve. I just added his Groundhog video to my blog the other day. (My pamperingbeki blog...)

Oh my gosh, I couldn't believe it when I read it--Spotacus was my crush!!!! That is so funny.
I stopped watching it b/c I was feeling guilty! heee heee

OOOOHHHH....I love me some Blake Lewis!!!He is cute cute cute:) A little out of the ordinary huh? Hmmm....well if you promise you'll only tell everyone!! I had a teensy eensy itty bitty little crush on our family Dr. It wasn't so much that he was cute (he was) but more that he drew little diagrams, let me look in my kids ears, listen to their hearts, and let them listen to my lungs when I had pneumonia. Why is that attractive you ask? I have no idea-it just was. We have since moved and now I have to find a new Dr. to crush on.

Thank you so much for commenting on my blog yesterday:) It made my day.

Ok, I AM worried about the attraction you have for the last guy!! Now, Alan Rickman, I completely understand. Oh my!

Well, I'm with you on the Kratt brother's. I've thought they were attractive since my little brothers started watching that show, way back before it was even called Zaboomafoo, but I can't remember what it was called then....."Animal Kingdom?"...no, that's not it, something like that, but anyway. They are cute.

Caroline said...

Okay, I totally think Sportacus (or the guy who plays him) is cute. I did some research on the show to make sure it was "okay" for the redhead to watch. Its made in Iceland and the guy (Magnus), is the exec. producer and a national aerobics champ. Okay, I totally made myself look like a stalker, but oh well. Who else do I crush on? TLC's Take Home Chef, Curtis. His cutlets look delish, and the food he makes doesn't look too bad either!

Ashley said...

Okay, so without kids I'm in the dark about who Sportacus is but this seems a little extreme to me, Jennifer. Although, I don't know all of his powers so perhaps you aren't far off. Haha! But Blake is definitely a hottie!

Carrie said...

Ok,here you go. Mike Rowe (the Dirty Jobs guys). Feel free to blab. I am ok with it
Thanks for commenting on my blog. I get so excited when someone stops by (which is pretty rare)

Caroline--
You crack me up! An Icelandic aerobics champ---that sounds like my kinda guy :)!

Trish said...

Jennifer, You crack me up!! Sportacus?!?!?! HAHAHAHA~
And I will confess, that when he is not singing or beat boxing Blake Lewis is pretty cute......(did I just say that out loud?).

I LOVE the Kratt Brothers. I have since their first show, Kratts Kreatures. Hello Hotties.

But Caroline totally stole my true crush.......Curtis from Take Home Chef. I always wear my best clothes and do my hair before I go to the grocery store on the off chance that he will be there for me to take home. In which case, I will probably never let him leave. That's a little creepy on my part, but yeah, I like him that much!

Okay I will have to agree with you on Gabriel. Only because I had a crush so big on him in High School. He sat next to in English I let him cheat off me in hopes that he wold ask me out. How sad Am I???

And depending on where you live in Idaho you live maybe you could run into Blake when he is visiting his home town.

My secret crush?? McDreamy, but I have wanted him since he was a nerd in Cann't buy me love in the 80's.

As you know, I too love the Kratt Brothers. . .and I too looked up Sportacus to see if he really is hot under all the costume and makeup. But I'm kind of embarrassed to admit I find David Collins from the Upside Down Show intriguingly irresitible. I don't know why. I also always had a thing for Heath Ledger--I almost cried when I found out he died. He reminded me of a boy I had a very strong thing for in high school.

And I tend to get inappropriate crushes on men who are handy and capable. I can think of two I know right now! Good thing my husband is both!

I ALWAYS look beyond the t.v. personality and look for what's really underneath. I do this with everyone....and I LOVE Sporticus, and he IS cute. He has sex appeal oozing out of his little pores.

The Wiggles? Awesome. I love two of them. Another one of them I always secretly thought was an alcoholic. Isn't that wierd? I'm not telling which one...

I'm not bothered by most kid television shows because I love to analyze them to death. I always wonder what a break room is like on different sets. I would love to work with most crews that creates many of the kid shows.

Miki said...

....that CREATE many of the kid shows...

Sunshine said...

LOL, Jennifer! Yes, he's all mine, mine, mine (that wasn't very Wiggly of me, was it?)!

I've had the crush on Sportacus too (inside and outside of the costume)...okay, WHO haven't I fell in deep, deep crushness with? BTW...who is this Gabriel? Must Google.

You are so not a cat lady. Don't go there. Do. Not. Go. There. You are much too cute.

Elena said...

LOL!!! Yep, you're getting lonely. Lazy Town always bugged me too much to even look into who played Sporticus, but I have to admit, he's not bad with the outfit off. I LOVE the Kratt Brothers! And my other crush is Jeff Corwin (Animal planet). Ohh-la-la! Jarom always teases me when Jeff comes on. And you know how much I love STeve Irwin (in a cute teddy bear kind of way). Apparently I likes me some animal boys.

I was laughing at your post, when I realized my dad was reading over my shoulder. Yikes.

I feel dumb that I don't really know who these guys are.

Carrie commented on Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs, and yeah, I would have to say he's kind of easy on the eyes.
I feel kind of guilty even saying that. Hopefully my hubby won't ever track down my comments.......

Lauren and Justin said...

this all just makes me laugh. look at him, just peeking out from behind that palm tree! hahahaha

Kathi Roach said...

Yay for the Kratt brothers!!!

I used to LOVE watching those boys. :)

Caroline said...

I had to stop back in and say a big AMEN to crushing on Mike Rowe. He is very well rounded - meaning he has a great sexy.......voice, he's quite handsome, and girls, he can sing! He used to sing opera, and I loves me a man who can sing!

Growing up, I loved wating re-runs of the Brady Bunch, I thought Greg Brady was hot.

The Wiggle Anthony was rated most hot wiggle by my playgroup one year.

Joe from Blues Clues is a hunk.

Aubrey said...

No your'e NOT crazy--look at those arm muscles! If they're any indication of the rest--need I say more.

Brian and Staci said...

How funny! Girl...we need to find you a man! Not that I'm sayin' anything is wrong with ANY of those you have listed...even Sportacus...I mean, look at the muscles and he's always SUCH a helper! Maybe you should send him a little note to his Blimp and see if he'd rescue you!!?? Not that you need rescuing...ya know what I mean!? I'm so tired I can't even think of anyone cartoonish I think is hot...how sad am I?!

frillsfluffandtrucks said...

Hey, as long as it is the man inside the costume who intrigues you, I'm okay with that! Now if it was the costume...well, that I would find a little strange!

When my husband was out of town for nearly two weeks, I caught myself drooling over Sporticus. Like, for real. Now I can't even watch the show without that memory.

I can't believe you made me admit this.

KatBouska said...

If the Wiggle you are speaking of is Greg then FORGET IT! He's mine Sunshine...let's not make a scene here...

My sister found your blog and sent the link to me. I love your blog! We just moved to Idaho and are anxious to get to know the homeschool community.
I've always had a thing for Sportacus. That's a show I can watch with my kids. I also really like Jeff Corwin! Weird, huh?

Anonymous said...

Girl you are way too funny! My daughter loves sponge bob and trys to watch it when Im not looking. It's not my favorite cartoon for her so He's out...lets see. HmmmmI might have to say Bear in the big blue house cause he looks so cuddley...smiles

Teri said...

Yeah, I agree that Sportacus is a whole lot more tolerable sans the goofy getup. When my kids were little, I actually thought that Steve on Blues Clues was kinda cute. Musta been that neato striped shirt.

Hi, Christine here, stopping by for a visit from my SIL Debbie's blog, this is the life... we were the houseguests that were visiting earlier in the week.

Ok, I know there are a few guys from kids tv world that I think are cute, just can't think right now... I read your earlier entry about SYTYCD and now that's all I can think about! I sooo looove that show and will be missing it until it returns. This season was one of my favorites. Mark's dance you mentioned - is that the song they danced to on your music player? Like the music selection, I think I will stop by often just for the music. Although, I do enjoy reading your blog, too. Really like the camping story, so funny (mentioned it to debbie this weekend

Be back again soon! -- Christine

Been Blogstalking you for a few months...coming out of the closet now ;)
My best girlfriend is the Washington Petersen of 5, she got me hooked on to your site! And my other best girlfriend bought Beckie Farrants (who I see on your site too) Washington House (with the "Her" Stove), so we have a neat little circle going on here!
Anyhow, LOVE Alan Rickman just not really as Snape, mostly on Sense and Sensibility.
Not sure about Lazy Town, I've never seen it. We're not big t.v watchers in our family. GASP!

Ronnica said...

Not an Alan Rickman fan, but I love his character in Sense and Sensibility.

We should meet up for ice cream and reading. Hmmm...what's halfway between Idaho and North Carolina? Hehe. By eyeballing it, I'd say that'd put us in Nebraska or Iowa...

Heather said...

I have to agree, Sportacus is a hottie. The puppets on that cartoon are FREAK-E though.

Rhea said...

OK, now you've scared me. lol I remember someone telling me once they lusted after Steve from Blues Clues, and I totally didn't see it.

I'm not sure who I lust after. Maybe Billy Ray Cyrus on Hannah Montana. lol

Anonymous said...

Okay this post was just too funny. I was really loving the eye candy too!

WheresMyAngels said...

Honey, you scare me to death and I want to get you some therapy, cause you keep posting that same pic of Alan Rickman. When I look at the picture I see a VERY feminine man. Someone I want to go shopping with and get hairstyling tips from, not someone whom I would want to well, not going there.

Don't cha have any love for George Clooney?? As long as he isn't talking about how he made Batman gay, I'm totally admiring him.

Kim Heinecke said...

I never fell for any strange ones. For the longest time I had a think for Jim Caveziel but then he went and played Jesus in the Passion and it just didn't feel right anymore. So I broke up with him.

Hilarious post.

Tiffany said...

Sportacus has a super hot body. PERIOD. I always thought Michael Landon was kind of hot.

Okay, now that I have said it out loud, its creepy.

Scott said...

I actually think Sportacus is kinda hot. My son watches that show on occasion and I had noticed his potential hotness!

Now I also have to say that I agree with Carrie above that the Dirty jobs guy is really HOT!!

Anonymous said...

OK, I am so relieved not to be the only one who finds Sportacus a wee bit hunky. And oh yeah...he's super hot without the spandex, too! I just found your blog and love it. I'll surely be back for more!

MMMMM....Blake is Yuuummmyyyy!!!! :)

Hope you are doing well!

Ooohhh.....yeah, I know what you mean about Sportacus. I think my son has a crush on Stephanie...so it all works out for both of us! He's not too shabby without all his getup either is he?

Heather said...

G from over at Where Are My Angels pointed me over to this post, because she said you and I are the only people she knows who are *swoooony* for Alan Rickman. I told her that I didn't know you but I was sure you were clearly a woman of excellent taste! :D Dear me, Alan... I met him once, very briefly and I got utterly tongue-tied and barely was able to squeak out a sentence. (It was after I saw him in Private Lives on Bway; I waited over an hour after the show to get his autograph.)

I'm with G on George Clooney, but I am totally with you on Alan Rickman! I can't stand LazyTown so I don't let my kiddo watch that, can't comment there. I can say that Greg was clearly the hottest of the Wiggles (also, coincidentally, the one my daughter thought looked like my Hubby LOL). Steve vs. Joe is Steve in my book. Mike Rowe also quite hot. Here's another one of my random crushes on an "untraditional" dude - Skinner from the X-Files. Nope, not Mulder, Skinner. Mmm-hmmm.

Anyhow, nice to meetcha - glad I was pointed in your direction!

Cheers!
