Friday Fotos--October days

Friday Fotos all up in your faces ladeez ! Can I get a hollah?!?! :)

Here's what we've been up to this chilly October week:

Pulled out my black poster board and scissors to once again construct my front window Halloween "masterpiece". It's made of a ton of different pieces and never saves from year to year---so each year I have to look at a picture and attempt to do it the same way again. Try and ignore all the tape you see---I'm sure there's a better way to get it to stay up....but it's really not as noticeable as the photo makes it seem! (I say to make myself feel better...):

Finished throwing a little something up on the outside too. I'm no Nester----but at least it looks like I'm mildly aware of the changing of the season :). The tiny pumpkin was all that my garden produced this year--but I love it because I grew it!:

The boy squad and I ventured out to the local pumpkin farm and partook of all the Autumny fun! Including a cow train pulled by a riding lawnmower:

and a straw maze:

here's the pumpkin farm--it gets more crowded every year---but I LOVE that they added the big red barn last year!:

Here's some tall basket "thingie" that they use in the corn maze. It really has no meaning, I just thought it made such a strong statement against the golden sky!

Ethan took James down the big slide several times. It does a mom's heart some good when I see them having fun together :). It's not like it's a rare occurrence, but it means a lot to me to actually catch a picture of it:

And here I am expounding all my energy to hold Liam and James in one place long enough to take a picture! I am smiling because my tummy is all full of warm cinnamon mini-donuts.... and because I love my boys, of course! :)

***What I did spare you all a photo of this week was the caustic raw sewage my bathroom flooded with....twice. Even a pair of tortoise Christian Louboutin shoes could not have made me feel glamorous cleaning all that muck up. Seriously, my bathroom smelled like death and vomit and feet. I think I've solved the problem......let's hope I don't have to call in the overpriced plumber again!***

and that's all I got!---

~Happy Weekending!~
Thank you Cara!.......

Yucky bummer about the sewage. That's gross.

I do however LOVE that picture of you and the boys!! It is a great picture.

Have a great weekend.

Ps. it's been a few days since I've been over here and when I saw the title of the post below I gasped out loud!! hehehehe.....
then I scrolled down to read it.
you are funny!

HEY! James' binky matches your wedding colors! Just saying.

You got such good pictures. I forgot my camera at our pumpkin patch hayride, and I couldn't get the lady to walk closer to us with my pathetic little cell phone camera (that I can't figure out how to get the pictures off of anyway!) so our faces would show up and (hello!) my legs wouldn't.

Are you kidding me? How DO you do it all? Love the window treatment. Really add's to the "spooky-ness" of halloween. Love reading the blog. My boy Loves the pumpkins - he says "umpkin?" - it's always a question. Once he has it in his hands, the next word is "ball" as he throws it on the ground - good times :)

Oh yeah I too love your window display--I remember seeing it on your post from last year thinking it would be so cool to do. It's so classy.

Your plumbing? I think your house secretly wants to be like mine. My hovel feels so cool now, knowing it's being aped.

The pumpkin patch looks like so much fun.
Per usual, you look great in the picture.

As for the bathroom issue...GROSS. However, kudos to you for fixing it yourself.

Sorry to hear about your pipes problem. But the patch foray looked like pleanty of fun to take your mind off of it. Great pictures!! GB!

you look so cute and sophisticated to be at a pumpkin patch! cute cute! and the boys are darling as usual. glad you had fun. and cute window decor. you're so talented!

I love the cut outs you did for your window. I don't know how you did that. I am so untalented. And I don't see the tape at all. Do you do cut outs for other holidays, too?

That picture of you and the boys at the pumpkin patch is so great. You always look so great. I stay behind the camera because I always look so frumpy...

Debbie said...

Can I just say that ALL of you look so happy! And you my dear look fabulous. Absolutely fabulous! It makes me worry about you less...I still worry...but things are going to be okay with you all!

I guess I'll be doing a drive-by of your house today to check out that cool window treatment. My kids think they are deprived, we don't do hardly anything this time of year. Maybe I'll feel guilty after checking out your house.

Love the pumpkin patch. I got stuck with a couple of the YM leaders and the Bishop when we took the youth to the corn maize. We spent the entire night completely lost, which I've decided completely cements the thinking about men and directions.

I love what you did in your front window and I bet the boys think it is really cool! Have a great weekend!

Your window is perfect, i didn't notice any tape. I need to get better at taking my camera with every where we go. We went to the same corn maze and I forgot it. You inspire me, thanks.

Cute window as always. Wish I a)had a big window to do something fun like that in, b) had any motivation to do it, and c) had an ounce of artistic talent to do it. As for the toilet, you need to go get the toilet bazooka gun thing. In the plumbing isle at Walmart for about $12 I think. It shoots compressed air down the toilet and it has dislodged every single thing that's gotten stuck in our's. And you KNOW what all has gone down mine.

I love the photo of you and the boys but gross to the bathroom. I spent two days cleaning throw up off of walls and floors so I can kind of almost relate but I am pretty sure you win in the gross out department.

Gross on the sewage clean up! Sorry you had to handle that.

On a better note your boys are beautiful. Have a wonderful weekend!

Gross about the sewage.
Yay about the Halloween decor (AWESOME is more like it!)
and your sweater is SO cute in that last picture! So that makes me jealous! :) Have a great weekend!

Aww... I love it when siblings play nice and take care of each other! It happens so rarely in my house! it looks like you had a great time at the pumpkin farm.
PS. you look great in the photo! Love the hat!

Tamie said...

LOVE your sweater...so cute! and you look cute in it too....
ugh! i am so sorry about your bathroom...and the fact that you don't live closer so my dad (the plumber) could take care of you without ripping you off :)
good luck with that!
if you want i can have him talk with you and maybe he can help you through your sewage problem (that actually has happened to my parents a few times)...he's good at things like that :)

Themorrisbunch said...

You are so beautiful Jennifer!
Love tha hat ;)

Yikes about the sewage! All I can say is that I totally know how gross it is! My mom's overflowed and filled up her whole basement.
Sick.

Your window decor is marvelous! No signs of any tapeage.

I can only echo what has already been said.

You look terrific in your pic.
Thank-you for not showing us the sewage pic....I shudder for you and feel your pain!

Ugh.

What a great picture of you with the little men. Slacker mom here has not taken her kids to any kind of pumpkin patch. Only house in the neighborhood without a pumpkin. I almost want to boycott Halloween this year.....must be needing a break. :0

Either that or I need inspiration to do my front window like yours. I love it!!! Happy weekend to you too.

I am so sorry that you had that sewage problem. At least it looks like you had a lot of fun to make up for it. I love your yellow jacket!

Oh NO about the bathroom. You and your boys are just So cute. I love seeing you together.

Ronnica said...

Cute idea. Why not change it up every year if you have to redo it?

You look totally fabulous!!! I love the window....I may have to borrow that idea. And ewwwwwwww on the sewage......icky.

Love the Halloween decor. Your window is especially festive.
I love the pumpkin patch. I took my boys every year until they said "Ok mom we don't need to go to the pumpkin patch to get a pumpkin anymore, Fred Meyer will do." Enjoy!! You are making fun memories!!
Love ya

BTW...I realized through Kats blog, I lost the people I was following when I moved. It was pretty funny. I am reading her post and all of the sudden it hits me...I dropped you guys. Total accident, but I felt so bad. I fixed it though.

Bart Mancuso said...

Raw sewage! These are the things that memories are made of!!!! Or at least blog posts are made of. :)

I hope you have FULLY recovered from the sheer panic, drama and anguish that is toilet flooding.

Next time you post, keep the content "out of the toilet"

Have I mentioned toilet enough yet?

Gotta go...I just remembered, I need to go clean my toilet.

Give me a T.
Give me an O.
Give me an I.

Ok I'll stop.
:)

WAIT!!! WAit for mE!!! I've been so busy busy busy, I haven't even read your post yet with the map on it....I started to, and then got interrupted, and had to leave! I can't wait to read that one.

You look so FALLy. OOooh, so fun. You're a stylin' girl. I would have to buy new clothes just to hang out. I think you would get tired of my blue sweater over and over and over again.

Do you mind sharing? Where is this pumpkin patch, and is it expensive? Do you have to pay to go in the mazes? I know I should be keeping my eyes peeled for something down my way, but if you think that one is really good, will you let me know? I think it sounds terrific, and I really want to take my kids to a pumpkin patch. Maybe I won't buy the pumkins if they end up costing a fortune, but just to have the experience is worth it.

Okay, enough of me....OH MAN about your bathroom....oouugh. Okay, I'll take the smell of disappointing paint over that any day....and I SO was going to do a thing over my windows. Maybe I still will this year.....and LASTLY...I finally clicked over on the Nester's site. Whhhooooo, she has a lot of visiors! Hope she won't mind one more.....

Thanks Jennifer, and I can't wait to see what I've been missing!

Yeah...hope you don't mind I am totally stealing your window idea. And the slide pic reminds me of one I have of my kids on a giant inflatable. It's one of my favorites.
You have got to be one of the hippest mommas in Idaho. How cute are you in your hat and fab sweater at the punkin patch??
You go girl! ;)

Cara,
Love the pictures especially the one of you and your boys. Wonderful!
The pumpkin farm looked like a lot of fun.
I am so sorry about your bathroom floor. EWE! It made me sick to my stomach thinking back of when my older sister tried to flush a pad down ours in a house that was 40 some years old and it backed up all over the drains in the house. AWFUL!
Have a great weekend.
Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Thumbs up on your little homegrown punkin! Thumbs down on the flood. Thumbs up on fixing it yourself and avoiding over-priced plumbers. Giant thumbs up on your mustard sweater and hat. Add a hat to any ensemble and becomes classique!

Oh toilet troubles. I know all too well about kneeling in toilet water, plunging and trying to clean before it reaches the carpet. Lovely.

I love your blog layout! Its so creative! I had to click the buttons linking to your blog because it said Look Look Look at this, and I had tos ee what it was! I love these photographs the color is so beautiful on them! Can't wait till my niece is old enough to go the the pumpkin npatch!

Lula! said...

OK...love your decor, love your fun at the patch with the boys...

But really, I have to be honest here. What I'm loving most is that fabulous, mustard-colored sweater you're sportin'. And your hat. I'm totally raiding your closet. Do you have tortise Christian Louboutins? Because I will not hesitate to steal them from right beneath your eyes. I'll also take any Jimmy Choos or Manolo Blahniks lurking in there.

Yep. Fear me.
