the forgotten christmas gift

I dropped Brad off at the mall yesterday to have the watch I got him for Christmas re sized. He came back out with this pretty little box for me:
Apparently when he was at the mall on the 24th (nothing like waiting till the last minute :)!), he had bought me this gift card to my most favorite store. Then, he accidentally left it on the counter of another store. He worried about it all Christmas day, but didn't say anything. So glad for an honest person who took it back to Ann Taylor where they saved it for him. Love my sweetie too for knowing that I needed some new clothes (don't we girls ALWAYS need new clothes?). Brad use to buy me a sweater every Christmas--and they were pretty ones too. But year after year they had to be returned as I explained to my dear husband that in the confusing vernacular of fashion, not all women wear a 'woman's' size, and he had to look in the mysterious 'misses' section ("I thought that was for old women" he said!). Ah yes--the gift certificate was a perfect idea!

Funny, I gave JArom a fogotten gift today too. Only I didn't have the excuse of leaving it in the mall, I just forgot it was hidden in my drawer. (It was a new wrench.) Now you can shampoo your carpet in new suit pants and a fancy shirt. :)

Hey, you know if June Cleaver could do it--so can I! May just throw my pearls on too :)!

Sweet, love a forgotten gift! It's like finding that $10 bill in your old pair of jeans!
