a night to remember

diffuser on the blow dryer:
shiny red shoes:

gift card used for something pretty: I think someone has got themselves a hot date!..........

that would be ME!

Each year for our anniversary, Brad and I go to the Mona Lisa fondue restaurant. Here it is:
It was hard to hold still enough without a tripod to take this picture. The entire place is lit only by twinkle lights and candles. How's that for romantic?
Here we are enjoying our chocolate course (the final of FIVE courses of the best food in the world. Good thing I don't eat like this every day!). You can see a bottle behind us. In it are the secret love letters we wrote each other last year. So sweet! We wrote some more this year to read next anniversary (they save them at the restaurant).

We also went to see National Treasure 2, which I loved--but I'm kind of an American history geek, so I don't know if my opinion counts for much!

It really was a night to remember.

Glad you had fun! I love the red shoes, so cute. And your outfit is great. Good thing they found that gift card! It's fun to Mona Lisa's again too.

Jennifer-
A published poet? I am so happy to hear that! You must share some of your work. Please! Please! Please! That is so cool and makes you even more textured and interesting to me! So cool!! I can't wait to read your stuff. I also really appreciated your thoughts and comments on the poem I posted. I am an English teacher by degree (I am on a small break to be home with my son; I have been home the past two years, but keep my hands in teaching with my small tutoring business...) anyway, I miss the classroom and all of its mental stimulation so sometimes I have to find it myself by reading poems or great works. I would love to read yours. Please share- Thanks again for your thoughts. Not bad for being up late with a little person; that sounds like my night too. So sorry to hear you have a baby under the weather. Hope he perks up soon!!
