our christmas blessings

For family night last night, I had the boys write the word CHRISTMAS down the side of a paper, then come up with a blessing they felt they had in their life that started with each of the letters. Here is what they wrote--misspellings and all--with my commentary added in ( ).

Zane was thankful for:
Christ (makes a mom feel all warm inside)
Hamburgers (which I never make)
Reality gameshows (we use to love Amazing Race until they moved it to Sundays!)
Ice Cream (it's hereditary!)
Still life paintings (huh? I guess I'm a good art teacher!)
Trafic gaurds (alrighty, I guess we should be thankful for those!)
Mom (awwwwww!)
Aunt Pennie (my sister)
Sisters (of which we have none!)

Ethan was thankful for (and there are a few more spelling errors in this one, but I think it's sweet!)
Chirch (that's church, and again--warm fuzzies!)
Ham (it is tasty!)
Rits (I think that this is Ritz, which he only gets at other people's houses.)
Intrnashinel hose of pancakes (can you guess what this is? :) )
Sports (his father's child!)
Traktrs (tractors. so glad we're related to farmers!)
Miky mose (you can tell we don't watch much of this 'mickey mouse' character!)
Axes (hey! they're sharp and useful for cutting down trees, and he spelled it right! LOL)
Speed stacks (the cup stacking things he's so amazing at.)

And as for Liam, when asked about what he was thankful for, he drew this:

It's a ghost from our plug and play Pac Man game that we get out exactly .3 times a month. He's evidently very grateful for it though!

So cute. I love hamburgers, reality tv, and icecream too. This is a fun idea, I may have to borrow it.

Aahhh! Proud mama moments. Aren't we so thankful for them? Not to be proud of ourselves, but of our little gems. Ya gotta love them.
