i dare you not to sing along.....

while you listen to this song and look at random pictures from my vacation a month ago (yeeeeah--I'm not claiming to be so on top of things lately :) ......). Just to make up for the lame post, I might even throw in a few witty captions......plus, I have to make you scroll slow enough to get to the chorus. It's the best part!

THEN, I have a question for YOU at the end!

Here's the boy squad and I plus my older and only sister. (Recently my sis had someone try and steal the pink socks off her feet-- while she was sleeping--but we'll save that interesting story for another day....)

They really are this nice to each other 97% of the time.

I thought this one was very Ocean's 11 (or 12 or 13)-ish!

There's only so much walking in the heat one kid can take....

Here James is attempting to pry a rock out of the cement to throw in the fountain. I don't know what it is with this kid, but if there's water---he HAS to throw a rock in it!

wait for it.
wait.
wait.
wait...........

SOOOOOO......what song(s) can YOU not resist singing along to?!?! (obviously I'm a little partial to "The Gambler"--but I also can't keep my mouth shut when Kool and the Gang's "Celebration" comes on, or that Kylie Minogue song "Outta my Head"----that one gets me with all the la la la's!--and it's up next if you want to stick around wasting your time listening to catchy tunes...)

This is sad. Wilson Philips "Hold On"

Am not a "Gambler" fan myself.
Give me something like "Love Shack" or "Throw Your Arms Around Me" (Hunters and Collectors - Australian band). I do like "our Kylie".
I read your post yesterday, but it took my 24 hrs to process.
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. It just doesn't seem fair, does it.

I can't resist singing along with most songs. Much to the chagrin of my children. Like "Rockstar" by Nickelback. Or "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley. Or anything by Outkast. But my favorite to sing along with...mostly because my girlies will sing with me...is Abba.

I will sing to any song. "Sing" might be a little of a stretch however, my children are horrified by lack of musical skills. Right now I can't help but sing any song my son has playing on his stereo. I think I'm just trying to show him I'm "in touch" he thinks I'm having seizures.

Great pictures. I love little James trying so hard to get a rock. At first I thought he was getting gum. :)

I NEVER listen to words of songs, so I don't know hardly any to sing along with. But if it has a great beat I'll shake my groove thing. :) Jarom always makes fun of me and asks me how in the world I ever got the degree I got.

There are tons of songs I sing a long with!! I guess the 2 biggest ones are Dancing Queen by Abba and Rockstar by Nickelback(I see someone else said that -- it's a catchy song!!).

I like the Gambler, too!! I sing a long with that.

Definitely The Gambler. BTW, I'm new to blogging and I'm running a Great Giveaway on my blog this week. Please try and stop by sometime, OK?

I love This Kiss by Faith Hill....would type more but I broke my wrist on Tues....yea, plate and pins and all! So, typing one-handed is no fun :( Just take it from me...don't try to clean your shower whilst taking a shower! I'm so very sorry about your friend.

Bohemian Rhapsody, it is also the only song I have ever sang on Karaoke. the worst part is that my friends video taped me doing so.

Oh it is also the ring tone on my phone.

singing 'I see a little silhouetto of a man, Scaramouche, scaramouche will you do the fandango-
Thunderbolt and lightning-very very frightening me-
Galileo,galileo,
Galileo galileo
Galileo figaro-magnifico-"

Imagine that going thru your head all day.

Oh I'm with Kat too,

Crazy goes thru my head often;)

It used to be my ring tone.

Oh man, first I have to say that I lol at poor "brian and staci" commenter. OH MAN!!! I mean, I didn't laugh because she broke her wrist, but her comment at the end was just so funny....oooh, and now that I think about it....sad...

Sorry Staci...

But to you Jennifer, you pretty much have my music style pegged. You even picked a good song for me that will make the playlist shortly. I'm so thankful for Kat's comment. I've been trying to think of the name of that group for forever!!!

Outkast!

I have so many of his albums, yes, ALBUMS, the big ones that came way before CDs. I loved Kenny Rogers when I was in grade school. I clearly was not the coolest chick in the class. Your vacation pix look so fun and relaxed. :)

Been out for a week and just sat down to some delicious reading on your blog. All caught up. I could comment on it all, but will refrain. I do want to tell you how much I appreciated your post on Br. Fast. He was amazing! Best home teacher we ever, EVER had! Love that man. I just feel so sad for his family.

"Against All Odds" by Phil Collins or Genesis, too lazy to confirm.

But now, I am signing "The Gambler"

Well, apparently I like to sing along to "The Gambler." Who knew?

One of my FAVORITES is Mary J. Blige's "Killing Me Softly". I ABSOLUTELY love being Mary when that song comes on. I seriously am SO GOOD...in the car, when no one is with me (to witness). I flipping love that one.

Oooooh, Kylie just came on..."La la la lalalala la la la la..." ;D

I loved the pictures - they look so familiar to me. I think that I have one of the kids at the reflection pool that looks similar.
I can't wait to hear about the pick sock thevery. I hope that Utah was good to you.

Yes, I can admit that I sang to the Gambler and am now going, "La la la la........" I really love this one too.

Yup yup...celebrate is on that I have to sing along with...the Gambler...Umm not so much...I'm more likely to turn that off...but I had to agree with what one other commenter said about "Hold On" by Wilson Phillips..or really any of their songs. I just always catch myself singing along with them. These days, it's any song from the Disney Channel...like Hannah Montana "Best of Both Worlds."

Love me some Kenny Rogers. Will sing along to almost anything, but love "Walkin' in Memphis" by Marc Cohn. Anything by James Taylor get me singing to. Or Heart.

Man, I keep visiting your blog and then I do something else and forget to comment. What is up with that, not trying to be a blog snob or anything.

Jeff sings the gambler all the time, ALL THE TIME I TELL YOU. It's one of those inside jokes between us. All in good fun. I think Jeff knows all the words too. I only know the chorus.

BUT have you seen poor Kenny lately? He looks like a shadow of his former self. That dude has had some major plastic surgery. His taunt cheekbones are right up there with Mary Tyler Moore's nip and tuck, and we all know how tragic that one is.

My song would have to be: Lovefool by the Cardigans.

hey Emily--
I have the Cardigans singing "Burning Down the House" with Tom Jones on my playlist. It's a hoot!

I was just thinking yesterday we haven't been to Temple Square in a while. I bet my children think it has Christmas lights all the time since that's the only time we go.
