This is the view from their house:
The lighting in Mom and Dad Peterson's house was perfect. I think I took like a hundred pictures! Here's my cutie pie niece M holding James:
and here are a couple more cutie-pie nieces who were mere babies when Brad and I got married:
Zane wore my favorite shirt:
This is my lovely sister-in-law and her camera that I am very jealous of. I have learned that Canon kicks Pentax's behind in the quick focus department.
Nothing like an empty box to rally all the little ones together:
And once they were out of the box, they all wanted to play with Great Aunt Eileen. I think all the children love her because she is always smiling and sitting still. She will listen to them talk about anything for hours!:
I told Brad to give me a kiss and had my niece K take a picture--only Brad doesn't look much into the kissing thing, does he? :)
Lost in a sea of presents and people. It was every man for himself as far as finding a place to sit!:
And I photographed the desserts to show you my great resolved will power. I didn't even have a bite!:
Mom and Dad Peterson always give the best gifts. Mom looks all year long for the 50 or so gifts needed for all seven of her kids, their spouses, her grandchildren, THEIR spouses, and great-grandchildren too. Every year she says that's it and there will be no more presents next year. We all tell her that's fine and she can stop making a fuss, and yet the very next Christmas--there are the presents again! Bless their hearts! And what magnificent thing was waiting beneath the layer of paper this year?:
Yes, that says ONE THOUSAND thread count sheets. It's like I died and went to luxury hotel heaven!************************
I think someone looooooooves them!!!

Ooohhh! THere is NOTHING better than sleeping on great sheets. I am way to cheap to buy any though, but I am being VERY tempted by the thought. :)
great sheets are so fun, that's for sure. I think ours are about 300, so whenever we sleep on anything higher we're in heaven. That was a definite fun gift! (:
And for the married grandkids, g's were a great gift because we always need more of those! Love our funny family. Good to see you!

Elena,
I am a total cheapskate, but I still think great sheets are worth every penny. We have 550 count currently, but I wash them in special lavendar soap and steam iron them in the dryer--so they feel (and smell!) great, but I cannot WAIT to try these puppies out! These were marked $200 at Kohl's, but I bet Mom got a great deal on them--she always does. So keep your eyes open!
Karli,
I wanted to put your picture up because you're a total cutie-pie too, but the two I took of you turned out blurry. I have bad camera shake!
I love that you iron your sheets! Will you come and do mine? My mom had told me stories about her mother hand washing them, then line drying them, ironing them, then spraying them with a lavendar spray before actually putting them on the bed. Ummm, sorry. I don't have time for that. I am too busying playing Wii! ;) Ha!
I also loved your thoughts on the fence, and the space. It is so nice to breath once in a while right? I love to be in open space. I am staring at my neighbors blinds right now. I wish I could be in the open air this exact moment! Thanks for the fun, family post- Kam
Kam,
Oh no! I don't PHYSICALLY iron them--in fact my iron hardly ever comes off the shelf....but my dryer has a steam iron setting. My DRYER irons my sheets, not me:)! And I have lavendar spray that I put on them too!--always a relaxing scent!
That's it, I am asking for nice sheets and yummy spray for my birthday. (Hint hint JArom!) :) (a dryer that steam irons wouldn't be bad either. :) )
Yummy sheets... nothing beats a great pair of sheets!
oooooh, what a lucky girl you are! I would die for 1000 thread count......
