take 4 tag

Jenny from Australia tagged me. Wow Jenny! That's some reach you got there! I personally love to read through posts like this--I'm always interested in knowing what makes people tick....but if you'd rather not hear I yadda yadda, me yadda yadda, once when I was 12 yadda, yadda---------then move onto the next post where I shall share a heavenly recipe with you. For those of you stickin' with me: *thanks!*

4 jobs I've had:

1. working at the sand and gravel pit my mother use to own. I was about 12. I'm sure I was more trouble than help, but it was always a great time hanging out with my mom, playing on the typewriter (yes--I'm old!), and making copies of my smooshed up face on the copy machine.

2. At Millhollow Frozen Yogurt during college. That was mainly just to support my nasty sweet frozen dairy product habit though. Hi. I'm Jennifer. And I wish Ben or Jerry were my husband.

3. The Emporium. It was a clothing store geared mostly toward old people. It was during this time that I realized how much I loved putting displays together. I may have been creating scenes with mannequins wearing polyester elastic-waist pants and kitty-cat sweatshirts---but they were rockin' I tell you---ROCKIN'!

4. I dropped out of the German/ Secondary Education program, got my interior design degree instead and started my own business--The October Co. Interiors. That's where I've been ever since. Worked first for builders choosing finishes (carpet, tile, paint, lights, etc.) in spec homes, then moved to residential work. I love it!

4 Movies I could watch over and over again:

1. Galaxy Quest (I LOVE Alan Rickman in that one!)

2. Pirates of the Caribbean (only the first one though. The last two have gotten a little weird for me).

3. Anne of Green Gables. (It's like Lord of the Rings for girls!)

4. A four hour documentary on the DNA study of the Hopewell Indians. I don't know if that counts as a "movie"--but seriously, I could watch that thing over and over and over.

4 people I email daily:

*uh--no one really. Except lately I've been bugging my blog designer an awful lot via email. I am so anxious to have my page done--and I guess I just have no patience at all. She probably wishes I'd lose her address already!

4 favorite things to eat:

1. Pasta. Any kind. My last meal would be gnocci in a sun-dried tomato and Gorgonzola sauce, and some butternut squash ravioli with browned sage butter. I loves me some carbs.

2.Salads. I even prefer to eat them dry (no dressing) as though I were a rabbit. It kind of balances out all the calories from the pasta!

3. Raspberries.

4. Ice Cream. Only on Saturday nights now. What willpower.

4 places I'd rather be:

*I wouldn't RATHER be anywhere--I love it here. But I would like to be...

1. shopping a great furniture store with a pocket full of free money.

2. In a quaint old cottage in the English countryside somewhere.

3. In my bed--asleep.

4. At one of those fantasy dinners where you invite any 10 people you want living or dead--I have my list of guests ready!

4 things I look forward to this year:

1. Zane

2.Ethan

3. Liam

4. James

my kids are the source of a new adventure every day!

Now I think I'm suppose to tag 4 people...... but I'm really awful at that. So if anyone from my Daily Rounds list would like to take this challenge and hasn't yet--feel free :)! I will come read all about you!

Blogs are supposed to be all about us, right? I mean, that's all I ever do is write about me, me, me...I'm surprised anyone reads at all...

I put you on my list of people wish I knew in real life...I hope that's ok. I never remember to ask people if I can link them and stuff. I look forward to learning more about you, you, you :)

Oh man, you're really making me hungry today. Millhollow frozen yogurt---DELISH!! (I don't think I've had that since the boys lived there. I don't even know if it's still there, but if so, I need some strawberry cheesecake! That was my favorite!)

Emily--
You are fine to link me. I'm honored :)!

Simply,
I'll be there to take a look soon!

Elena,
They're still there--or at least they were 3 years ago when I was last in Rexburg. They moved from the tiny shop they were in when I worked there to a big cabin-style store over by the Porters and the athletic club. The strawberry cheescake was soooo good. The mix we made it with could have been my perfume :)! I also loved the pistachio!!!
Glad you like my music! Erasure's a little further down the play list. I had it at the top back in November, so I'm sure it will make its way up there again soon. You can always play around with my music thingy and play whatever song you want.

I'm right with you on Anne (with an "e") of Green Gables. Ha Ha, Lord of the rings for girls--too funny.
I enjoyed my visit here, and I appreciate your kind comments on my blog.
Blessings~
Cathy

Cute, I like reading answers, but truth be told, I hate being tagged. I don't know why, I should be honored, right?!

Anyway, do you have a Ben and Jerry's ice cream shop close by? We have one just down the highway and boy is it amazing! A little frightening on the hips, (and the wallet) but every once in a while, why not!

I can't believe I am so behind on the Peterson Family!! School has started again and I am feeling overwhelmed. I loved this post though. I too am an Anne fan! I love her!!!
Thanks for being such a faithful reader of our blog! I know I can always count on you for some love! xoxo Kam

Cathy,
thanks for stopping by. Everyone reading this should really go check out the extrememly cute stuff she makes and sells.

Emily,
No we don't have a Ben and Jerry's. Wish we did. It would be easier to just eat one serving that way then spooning it out of their pints!

Kam,
I bet you're so busy! Good to hear from you though!
