If you haven't noticed, I've added a hit counter to my blog. And maps. Two of them. I have become a bit obsessed with all the locations and red dots and orange pins and numbers going up and up and up. And I have to wonder--who are all the people behind the numbers and markers? For example, I see a big red dot over Utah, but who is in Utah? I have a lot of friends and old roommates in Utah--could it be them? There is, in addition to my two red dots from Norway, a dot in some far-European country I don't recognize....maybe Bosnia? (Geography is among my many kryptonites!). Who from Denver is peeking in? And there are several Idaho towns around mine I recognize, are these friends I sent Christmas cards to with our blogspot address in them? Hmmmmmmm******
I guess I silently pop in and out of all kinds of blogs following links from different pages-- so I'm not one to throw stones. Or make judgements. Or whatever it is I might do. And I did read Elena's blog for almost a whole year without leaving a single comment because I didn't know how.........................hey! maybe that's it. Maybe some of you looking at this don't know you can leave comments! Just click the (0) (or whatever number it may be) comments at the bottom of each post and type me a message. If it insists you create a google account, it only takes a minute and you never have to do a thing with it. And it's free! Give me a little shout out. SHARE THE LOVE MY GIRLS! (and maybe BOYS!). And if you are aware of how to leave comments, I promise I won't bite if you want to leave me one. Even if you just type "hi I was here, please don't bug me" at least I'd know and maybe I could sleep at night! Or you could choose to remain incognito and I'll thank you for dotting up my maps and driving up my counter anyhow! My blog feels quite well traveled. (I am fully aware that this request could totally backfire and I learn there are only FBI agents and crazies looking in on me--making me quickly convert my blog to private. I suppose sometimes ignorance really is bliss.)
All the best for your weekend and I mean that for all of you!

Allright, I confess. I've been lurking on your blog for a few months now. I live in SW Washington and am a friend of LeeAnns. I LOVED your anniversary post. My husband and I have been married 13 years and have had some bumpy times lately. Nothing that we can't overcome, but I was a bit envious of the romance involved in your anniversary. I have vowed to create an anniversary tradition beginning this year. I do love your blog, and will leave comments more often.
Yeah Trish! Welcome! Your comment came up like the second I posted so it must mean my plan is working :)!
This is hilarious! I love it. I've been wanting to do something similar for forever, but now it will just look like I copied you. So, I'll just delight in the knowledge you gain. And you sent me email comments, so all is well.
Way to be brave Trish!!!
Funny!
Sometimes you find out who is reading your blog and you wish then you didn't know. You know?
I use to revel in the fact that I would get 20 hits a day. 20! Now I get between 80-150 and I'm wondering, who are these people?!
You're so faithful about blogging every day, yet for some reason I click on it about 10 times. I don't know why.....just hoping you have another (belated) post for me. So a lot of those SW WA ones are me!
Hi. I just randomly linked onto your blog, doing a little blog-surfing this morning while the kids are hypnotized by Sat. morning cartoons. Normally, I would have just surfed on by, but your post caught my attention so I had to post a comment. I'm one of the dots in Washington. :-)

Do you see me? The big orange dot around Portland? **waving**
We step instructors aren't that committed......it's just to hard to find a sub and we don't get paid if we don't teach. :)
Now I am wondering if I am one those that Emily wished she didn't know about. :) And like Lee Ann, I check about a million times a day. I am trying to ween myself of this addiction. :)
Okay, I'm cracking up now at the song and the picture, they were not on there when I left my first comment last night. You are creative!! And just so Elena and Emily know, I lurk at their blogs also! Just cause they are linked to others that I read. Some people watch TV in blog surf!!
Ooops, that is supposed to say :
Some people watch TV, I blog surf ;)
It's okay Trish, I lurk too once in a blue moon (like always). I feel like blogging is like making a whole bunch of new pen-pals. Its just great. Sorry for all the comments Jennifer, I know you are hoping that they are new brave lurkers leaving these and its just me.
Ooooooo, I much rather blog surf than watch an old boring TV show. I'm with you Trish!
Elena, your last comment is hilarious!
Wow! I was so excited to see TWELVE comments, but it's just....you guys again :)!!! Very funny! Glad I could get us all admitting how much we hop and look and how many times a day we click on the same person's name! I think blogs are like everyone writing their own novel, and every day you get to read another chapter (or every several days depending on who it is!).
Well, I'm a new lurker! This is my first time visiting your blog. I'm friends with Lee Ann and Trish. But, I love your blog(s) and I'll be back. I'm in the middle of painting/decorating my newish (to me) home, and I love your decor!
ps, how do you do all of it? Poetry, remodel, homeschool, FOUR boys and blog? Wow. I have 2 boys and nearly lose my mind somedays. You're good!
Ok, this was hysterical!! I loved it! I too wonder who is reading and stopping by my blog and not commenting. ;) This was such a clever way to figure out who visits. I love the music too! So fun, Jennifer! I was here, and I am most every day! ;)
Eryn--
I am slightly crazy! That is the only way I can describe how I do what I do! Actually, it only seems overwhelming at times--in fact I'm often searching for MORE to do and learn, but the crazy thing is still in effect :)!
Kam--
With as great as your photos always are, I'm sure you get a ton of private eyes watching you too! Thanks for the love!
i had private eyes on a 45 record that i used to play on my smurf record player.
i am here...but you know that already.
i don't know why people don't comment? kind of weird. especially when you ask them to. i used to do it too i guess...but not anymore.
see ya.
I just recently found your blog through Emily Loria's blog. I felt like this post was because I was snooping:) Anyways, I've enjoyed checking out your blog. It's always fun to see what other people are up to even if you don't know them. You have such a cute family. Feel free to visit me.
Hey... I just found your blog through bloggy giveaways. your stories are too funny.
i'm in Boston.
