screeeeeeeeam!

I have just been honored with a major award (cue Dad from A Christmas Story's voice!: it's a MAJOR AWARD!!!). Kim, the genius mastermind behind Today's Creative Blog, has just featured me and my lil' ol' house on her site today. I seriously have the biggest grin plastered on my face even as I type this! I have read TCB ever since I started blogging (all those many 3 1/2 months ago!)--and my jaw is on the floor to be amongst the many amazing women she has featured.

Now of course I look at all the pictures of my house she's put up and think--"man! you can see my sub-woofer on top of my living room computer hutch!" "Man! I should have changed that light bulb before I photographed the kitchen!" "Man! Why did I take a picture of my big boys' room with the Halloween decorations up?" You get the point! (and it's not just that I say "man!" a lot! and use ! a lot!) If a camera adds 10 lbs. to a person, it adds something of equal horror to your house on display :)! My only excuse is that I had to take all my pictures late at night--about the only time my house is void of the evidence of the 4 very active children taking up full-time residency here. (I'm sure Meg or Kamee would have made it look great in 11:30 pm lighting though!).

Anyway--stop reading this and go look at all the incredible and glamorous people Kim has featured--decorators, scrappers, photographers, bakers, all around janes-of-all-trades! Just follow my blinkie.....
