i need some help PLUS the lampshade winner

I have to talk to a women's group on Thursday about "How to get the Biggest Bang for your Decorating Buck". I was getting all my ideas organized last night, and I realized I still have about ten minutes to fill. So, I was hoping you wonderful readers could help me out. What would be some decorating dilemmas you would want to answers to? (Think stuff that would fill ten minutes....) And just for helping out, I'll actually try and answer your questions in a post this week (you're thrilled, I know!).

And now for the winner of the homeless lampshades!
(I got a chance to use my old bingo tumbler for something other than looking kind of beat-up and neat. And holding up my books on one end. And the occasional times my children fill it with Hot Wheels cars or Little People figures and spin them around just for the heckuvit.......)
Those are the names of the three lucky players in there.

Round and round and round it goes,
And the winner is: Robyn! I guess getting up at 4:00 am paid off after all :)! So Robyn please get in touch with me on a comment and we'll work out the details. You have to promise though that you'll let me see what you do with them! We'll kind of call this an 'open adoption'!

And that's all I've got to say today-----
Go Monday it up everybody!

All right Robyn! Can't wait to see what you do with them. Be sure to let Jennifer know when you get them done so she can link to you and let us all know the outcome.

I would want to know how to "decorate" book shelves. We have two tall cases on either side of our fire place and they never look quite right. Hope you're able to think of something to fill your time.

Oh, and Jennifer, how about inexpensive ways to decorate/dress windows? As you know, I am NOT decorator savvy, so I have no idea if this is a 10 minute topic or not. It's just something I really need to do in my own home. :)

Me, ONE MORE TIME, but I just looked at Lee Ann's comment which appeared the second I published mine, and I couldn't help but laugh seeing the time stamp. EXACTLY the same. :)

My almost 4 year old is dancing along to your music!! Pretty funny.

How about trying to include your family in your decor choices. My eight year old loves to choose her own things, and I'm all for individual style, but there are certain things that get a big fat NO. What are some ideas to gracefully decline and try to adapt their little minds?

That little shabby bingo tumbler is adorable, my boys would surely get a kick out of that! I love it!

And to answer your question: you are so sweet Jennifer. It is so nice of you to think of my blog that way. Do you really think that I am what she is looking for. I don't have one talent, I just try to keep life fun... oh what the heck, why not?! And believe me, if it dosen't happen, my feeling will not be hurt. ♥

Emily--
I nominated you right away! It could take a few months--you never know, but at least your name is in the mix now, and well deserved!
